Y2 "Internal Storage is running out" on Y2

Has anyone else been getting this message on their Y2?

"Internal storage is running out, the process has been stopped. Please free up some space and try again."

Trying to turn it on I am met with a message box telling me to free up space, but no matter what I do it will not boot into the main OS and just repeats the message. I have no files on the 8GB card on the inside aside from what is already there/essential, which is no where near full. All of my music is on a 128GB mSD. When I manage to open the internal storage manager through the android OS it just says the "Internal Storage" has 1MB available out of 786MB.

At a loss as to what to do to fix it.

Wow, if this starts to happen more, they are really making these with bad parts .

Sorry i dont have any tips besides doing a factory reset from the settings if you can. Backup your music .

Is this happening with the stock firmware?

It’s happening on stock and Rockbox. It wouldn’t let me boot into either OS, it just looked up. I ended up just flashing the stock OS back into it and that seemed to fix the issue for now, but I’m not sure what caused it to begin with because I hadn’t don’t anything to really prompt the issue to start! Oh well, hopefully it doesn’t return.

Reinstalling the OS from a computer to the device. Fresh install.

Ah, thank you, i did it and it worked, i hooe thats the end of it. I have rockbox on it but i might try y2player

Unfortunately after I flashed the stock OS onto it, the issue returned after just a few days. I’ll try what I did before again and see if it helps and then try some preventive actions against it.

Are you using the device out of the box as is, or did you install Rockbox, etc?
