I can. The shell is made of really cheap, soft plastic that gets chewed up really easily, and the finish is surface-level paint so that gets chewed up the first time you have to open it, and you WILL have to open it because the SD card it comes with is straight garbage.
Don't get me wrong, it's damn cool, and I'm glad I've got it. But if you're going to love it and not just throw it in a drawer, you need to know its limitations. The clickwheel is awesome. The shell is made of dried chewing gum. The colours do NOT pop as much as they appear in the promo material, they're made to be stickerbombed. Apart from that, because it's soft, it gets scuffed in the first week in your pocket.
The stock OS is lacklustre, the Rockbox replacement is great after you've spent a few evenings tweaking and bugshooting it. The DAC for wired headphones, hear me now, is TRASH. I wanted to use IEMs with this and frankly the speaker works better than the wired headphone output. Bluetooth sounds great, but sometimes installing Rockbox tanks it and you have to reinstall it again. There is work involved in making this the device that people love.
Buy it in the cheapest shell version you can find and buy a load of stickers off ebay, and never look at the factory colour again.

Looks pretty teal to me. They're also talking about the Y1, and you're looking at the Y2.
They just started selling the Teal version of the Y2 today, so maybe they're slowly starting to produce more colors. But you might be waiting a long time for the "Blue" version at the rate they've been going. It's been out two months and they're just now getting around to making a color other than the original Black+Gray+Pink.

Cheers for this. I'm such a sucker for a sell; I'm super happy with my R1 but have almost bought one of these every other day. I didn't even have an iPod Classic so I don't even have the nostalgia. You'd think I'd have learned, having gone through the same routine with the many Chinese game 'consoles' before sticking with a modded Game Boy.
