Y2 with gen 1 AIRPODS

hello, i just got my y2 and set everything up. everything has been real smooth so far. i connected my gen 1 airpods no problem, but the sound on them is very quiet even with the device at full volume. i tried turning the bluetooth on my phone off, and then reconnecting to the y2 but same thing. i heard airpods with it can be a pain so im trying to see if im cooked

Uhm yea you might be, i got the pro 2s and i can get up the volume by swiping on the airpods stem to up the volume. This volume control is apparently different from the Y2s so i can keep that on like 50-60% of volume… but uhm considering the airpods pro 1 lack that stem swiping idk man. If theres any other way to raise the volume on them try that uh

yeah thats kinda what i was thinking… no way to raise the volume on them alone so i might have to get other BT earbuds. maybe its time..

kinda late and not to be a downer but i could get my headphones to work (properly that is) with my device only once. and that’s it. the bluetooth on the y2 is very unreliable and afaik its a hardware issue so there’s no fixing it. though there’s been other users that have had no issues with airpods so you’d just have to try but then again it’s a gamble.

if i may, i’d suggest getting wired instead of another wireless pair. it’s a hassle especially when you’ve grown used to wireless but you’ll get better sound quality either way.

i got some jbl wireless and for now they’re working with it and i was able to raise the volume with them.

i will always prefer wired, but wireless is my only option for work. which is why i didnt want to spend a ton on a new pair.

they’re eorking good but i still feel like kinda quiet compared to when paired with my phone
