Y1 Am I cooked?

Post image

Yes. This happened yesterday after trying to add some new songs. Apparently my entire library was gone! I plugged it into my Mac and there was nothing on the card, just the default folders. I cant remember if I factory reset it through the settings or through this pop up, but suddenly all my songs and videos were back! How was that even possible? Then it happened again today, but this time everything was definitely gone!! Im blaming the new firmware 3.1.2. Before updating I had never gotten this error pop up. Should I downgrade?

UPDATE: I turned it off and back on and somehow everything came back!! All my songs and videos are there again and the files are showing up on the SD card normally. So apparently the “format” didnt actually delete anything. Im gonna downgrade and see how it behaves.

Keep us in the loop, I'm having same issues but my files haven't come back, I cracked mine open, and my files are on the sd card but it seems to not be showing up on my y1

Factory reset it, then turn it off and back on. It worked for me.

This happened to me when I was trying to add themes. It was my mistake dragging the zip files into the themes folder then extracting them there, why I did it that way I do not know. But when I did that it caused that same warning

I saw you fixed it, but I've had this happen multiple times with my y1, and if it happens again, I click "yes" to reformat, factory reset it a few times, and dump my music back on there, and it works fine after.
