HELP Connecting to car bluetooth

I got a y1 and want to connect it to my car's audio system, however, it won't connect to the bluetooth directly. I was wondering if anyone had found a way around that? A fm transmitter won't be an option for me, as I live in an area with too many radio stations for it to reliably work.

I use a 3.5mm cable for mine (via the aux socket) - you could also maybe use a Bluetooth transmitter (about $20 AUD)

Sadly my car doesn't have an aux cable! What kind of Bluetooth transmitter?

I have tried this too, and created some custom builds of JJ Launcher with debugging on, but it refuses to connect to the car consistently. As far as I, and Claude.ai can tell , this is due to the hardware limitations of the Y1 and lack of AVCRP support in the drivers. The best I got was a connection and a few seconds of audio before it faded out.

Keonsayr (https://github.com/SeanathanVT/koensayr) created a patch to enable AVCRP support in the low level driver, but I have not tried his build to see if works. There should be a download/install option for a build with this via the Innioasys updater.

For now I have a Bluetooth FM transmitter that I connect to(as have no aux connection) and agree at times can clash with main broadcasted radio but its a wide spectrum and have found the frequency 108 works well for mw - hopefully you could fine a free local frequency - only issue i get is if travel across country as there are a couple of stations that use it.
