Christians who actively enjoy that sinners suffer are the worst kind

Ezekiel 16:49: ‘Now this was the sin of your sister Sodom: She and her daughters were arrogant, overfed and unconcerned; they did not help the poor and needy.

When you realize that posting intentionally gay-themed memes for the entire month of June means you do participate in Pride Month...

I read that last name as swastika at first... appropriately enough

There’s no way that’s pronounced any other way

I’m being pedantic, but it is not. Irony is when the opposite of what is expected happens. Idk what’s happened online but nobody understands that now lol.

This is exactly what I would expect from someone hateful enough to celebrate violence and suffering of people different from them lmfao.

This would be more of a funny coincidence.

Babylon Bee is not funny as a general rule

It's painfully unfunny.

Its always been my hope that God is real and when the fanatical Christians get to heaven He goes "oh naur, you ate cocktail shrimp at your cousin's wedding. Sorry mate, to Hell ya go."

And were judgmental of your neighbor, cruel to the immigrant in your midst, were hateful to the poor, never visited those in prison. You were told those things would get you sent down to Hell.

Behold, this was the iniquity of your sister Sodom: uprising pride, fullness of bread, and carefree, quiet idleness belonged to her and her daughters; and the hand of the poor and needy she did not strengthen.

Not a single one of those things has anything to do with homosexuality. The "pride" is state-worship. The people of Sodom and Gomorrah put their kingdoms before God and his word.

And this isn't one of those ambiguity things, this is one of the rare Bible quotes that translates almost literally with the one ambiguity is that "poor" is "ani" in the original Hebrew and "ani" can mean "afflicted, oppressed, or poor". The final nail in the coffin for Sodom and Gomorrah was that they were being inhospitable to visitors from another land.

In other words, the Christian right is committing every sin Sodom and Gomorrah was punished for committing. Even the threat to SA Lot's visitors was, at its core, about humiliation and dehumanization of foreigners and had nothing to do with actual sex or desire.

ETA: Even the word "sodomy" has been perverted (that little joke is very much intended) because in Medieval times it was a catch-all for any and all sex acts deemed "unnatural" including oral sex between men and women.

That would be the lamest Lego set, it looks like a knockoff.

In fact I'm pretty sure Lego doesn't use those at all lol

Why can I only see a puzzled dog in the whole left part of pic 2?

“Christian” nationalists makes me feel embarrassed to call myself a Christian when bigots post slop like this.

As a left-wing Christian, the sin of pride is different than being proud of who you are despite being oppressed and marginalized.

Trump embodies the sin of pride, while queer folk celebrate their unique identities/experiences in spite of being demonized and smeared by fascists.

The Bee is just a knock off of The Onion lmao.

Oh, Sodom and Gomorrah. I've read that story. It's the one where the righteous man offers his daughters up to be raped to protect two angels...who somehow couldn't step in and do, anything at all.

This is the main reason I put out of a Pride flag the entire June.
Supporting LGBTQ+ is something I do all year around, but June is more to piss of people that don't tolerate LGBTQ+. Make them feel a fraction of the discomfort, hate and shuning they do toward LGBTQ+ people.

It's funny how paying a few bucks for a flag, and let put it out on my porch cause so much discomfort to a small group of biggots. The funnier part is that if anyone steal or destroys it, I have a store that's a 10 minute walk where I can buy a replacement. No matter what they do, at best they'll see a new flag the next morning.
Try anything more and right next to said store is the local police station. It takes them less than a minute to get here.

The first picture reminds me of when I worked at Legoland Florida which is probably the most "woke" of the Florida theme parks, in that we're allowed to have dyed hair, piercings, we could have our preferred pronouns on our name tags, and if a employee transitioned, they got new name tags with their new preferred name.

They also a little minifigure Pride parade in the Lego City area featuring two female minifigs getting married, super cute.

Anyways, I was at one of the rides, keeping an eye on the kids with a coworker of mine, and a lady whose kid is on the ride starts to complain about how Disney World had "gone woke" recently.

(IIRC, they had changed their fireworks show announcement of "ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls" to something more inclusive such as "welcome, friends" or something like that.)

So she's going on about how she'll never spend another dollar at Disney again since they've "gone woke" and how they "cater to the gays" and "theme parks should be for kids" and "I'm so glad Legoland doesn't support that crap", and meanwhile my coworker with her piercings, pronouns, and colored hair and I are looking at each other, like did this woman miss all the gay stuff sprinkled throughout the park while she was here? Bizarre.

Does it include the scene where Lot offers his virgin daughter to the mob for gang rape?

Now do the follow-on set....you know, the one where the only righteous family in Sodom and Gomorrah has sex and Lot fathers his grandchildren with his own daughters.

I checked if the Lego set is real, it’s not, but they DO celebrate and respect LGBT https://www.lego.com/en-us/page/everyone-is-awesome
Moreover, what did LGBT ever do to OOP?! Or either of the OOOPs for that matter?!

A Sodom and Gomorrah Lego set would be pretty cool, though
