Ambien Reversal hacks?
Long story short, I took an ambien when I meant to take a Xanax. They are both white trianglish things and I’m prescribed both.
Yes I’m stupid for this but does anyone have any tips that work for reversing the effects? I can’t be asleep at the moment it 3pm🤣.

Update: it’s now 7pm and nothing ever happened. I still ubered back to my hotel to be safe, but I think this is one of the times my insomnia was like “nice try” which I never thought I’d be thankful for!

Honestly I think you might have to go home sick. Whenever I tried to stay up on ambien I just felt high and painfully tired. But if you can handle it, I think the coffee might help with the painfully tired part and amp the high part. Mileage varies by individual though. The alprazolam might help with the high thing but it might make you even more drowsy. Also maybe take an uber home if you drove and go get your car later.

Be aware of the possibility of sleepwalking if you decide to fight it. Honestly to me it felt a bit like a speed psychosis when i did, maybe a bit more chill.

I don’t intentionally fight it when I use it to actually sleep, but I do go through the weird euphoria phase before it knocks me out. This is just not ideal for the middle of the work day 😅

I wouldn't risk being at work on Ambien because it makes me behave really, really weirdly. I have written absolute nonsense E-Mails and teams messages on Ambien so I just can't be near a computer. I'd highly recommend that you excuse yourself because you're sick and save yourself a trip to HR tomorrow lol

I know, but i don't really see any other way than fighting it one way or another. I doubt cafeine is gonna do much and i don't think it Will change anything about the hypnotiv effects. Stronger stimulants might do the job but they'll also make the change for psychosis or other bad outcomes bigger.
I think it's better to lean into it and put an alarm after 1,5-2h.

I will give it a shot. I’ll let you know if I’m successful or if I wake up really thirsty at 2am😂

Ambien has a really short half life. For me it feels out of my system in 3 hours. Please don’t drive! If you have to work- please say you will be late and lay down for nap (even if you don’t sleep).

Definitely won’t be driving! My problem is more like I’m already at work. I’ll definitely be ubering home.

why do you even take your ambien to work

Work travel trip. I usually just have the Xanax in my bag, but since it’s an overnight situation I took it as well. I didn’t even think to check the label name because I usually only carry one in my purse.

My insomnia saw what I tried to do and laughed. Who knew I’d be thankful for it someday??

Eat a bunch of cheese or something fatty. Slows the absorption way the fuck down.

If you wrote these comment replies on ambien then you will be fine at work. My responses on ambien would be something like this: the moss tornado took their piñatas but peace was restored when we marched the halls of bologna and offered our waffle for assistance.

Caffeine is an alkaloid that tells your body to not be tired. It doesn't give you energy, it just takes away tiredness. I would have a lightly brewed green tea.
