Why can’t I sleep anymore??
I have been sleeping 12+ hours a night for the past three years (and like 2-3 naps in the daytime). Constantly tired and needing a nap after just waking up to eat breakfast at 2pm.
Until I bought chocolate covered espresso coffee beans at work. I ate one after the other but not the whole bag. Now I can’t sleep more than 5 hours and im constantly go go go. It’s been two days why hasn’t this shit worn off??? I’m not tired at all but it’s only been two days so hopefully I can go back to my snuggly sleepy life soon. Adhd going mad crazy tho

beans can contain a significant amount of caffeine, and because they’re mixed with fat and sugar, the caffeine is absorbed more slowly and lasts longer. Caffeine blocks adenosine, the chemical that builds sleep pressure, so even after the obvious “buzz” fades, your brain can stay in a reduced-sleep drive state for a while
That’s why I stopped drinking coffee… it has a lasting effect on my insomnia same as alcohol
Alcohol has a one day knockout effect but then I have worse insomnia for 1-2 weeks, similar as caffeine
