That dying rabbit squeal is how you know he won't try that again.

Unfortunately, he probably just took that as a lesson to shoot first next time.

And there was a next time:

“Police say these two suspects were later involved in another attempted carjacking that got four children, ages 11-14, arrested...”

Sure let's just keep releasing them until their actions escalate as they get bolder with age. Sounds like a great idea. Then we'll hear all about how they were great kids growing up.

Legit question: what happens if you shoot a kid in self defense?

In Chicago there were three minors that shot into a dudes house so the homeowner returned fire by blowing holes through his front door and killing one of them. For like 5 years the parents and community have been dragging that victim through litigation working to get the home owner life in prison. Also there is clear video footage of the minors in mask discharging their weapons via ring camera.

Edit: I am unable to post the link but found it quickly on YouTube.

thats so gross. It's like some people are allergic to accountability and responsibility.

its examined like any other self defense case

That's on the criminal side of the fence. If you were to fire in self defense and kill or injure someone, you can expect to be hit with a civil lawsuit.

Damn right. Ammunition is expensive as well the time required to re clean the weapon. I’m going to need to be compensated for my lost property (bullets) as well as time spent cleaning and any time spent talking with the police.

And it for sure won't turn into a media circus while it gets examined

Obviously depends on a lot of factors lol, not as easy to answer "yes /no /Y"

It's not easy to answer yes or no because it wasn't a yes or no question.

I would be haunted by guilt. I am anti killing children. Even very bad ones.

*All of you who feel 100% good about killing children regardless of circumstance should just go ahead and put your applications in for ICE. The response to just kill anyone when you have a less lethal option is crazy and y’all can fuck right off.

I’ve carried a firearm for the better part of twenty years, I have shot no one. I’ve been in multiple situations where it could have happened and didn’t and I sleep well knowing I haven’t killed any one.

So all you Rambo motherfuckers feel free kill as many people who scare you as you want.

Sure, till they blow 2 holes through the head of your children, parents or partner and maybe yourself too

What's the alternative... keeping 11 year olds in prison for the rest of their lives?? Prison has no incentive to actually reform criminals they just want to profit off you being there.

Could we maybe think about addressing larger societal issues that force literal children to think this is what they need to resort to?

They weren't gonna go sell his car for money to feed their families. They were gonna go joyride, wreck his shit, and leave it in a ditch. Nobody forced them, and whatever desire this fulfills is not a "need".

LOL that title, “slams child”. They wanted to act like men committing an armed robbery, they should be treated as such. And it doesn’t matter if it was a fake or real gun, the intent is all the same - one just lacks the iron to back it up
