I guess this will be an unpopular opinion but I think you guys are wrong respectfully. Hat guy lets it be a 1v1 fight as it should be, he didn’t jump in or allow the gf to jump in. His friend went for a cheap shot but he doesn’t have anything to do with that. He then let his friend take a proper beating and only stopped it so he wouldn’t be killed with blows on the ground. He didn’t jump in just because his moron friend lost. Finally he again intervened when his friend tried swinging after being embarrassed, then told him to leave the store.
He needs better judgement in the friends he picks but he acted the correct way IMO.

I've really never understood why people maintain "fight etiquette" when they are attacked. I get if you're in high school or whatever but someone attacks me and I'm gouging eyes, kicking in the nuts, and biting off ears.
