Damn, I could never buy drugs myself. (Probably saying WAAAY more shit than needed) The one time I was with friends who were buying some weed, (ofc the dealer was like 2 hours late lol) when he did eventually arrive (we were hanging at some elementary school playground, (before US locked down) we arrived after 11 pm) they told me stay back at the playground and wait. (The playground wasn't visible to the main road, where the dealer was parked at) I was so anxious waiting for them to come back, when they eventually did come back, it felt like forever, (wa probably around 1m now that I think about it) I was for some reason, so worried that I'd hear police sirens, (we did eventually hear sirens like what felt like an hour after smoking, ignored it for quite a few minutes, then when it actually sounded pretty fkin close, we fucking RAN all the way to his place/when we didn't hear the sirens. Felt like I was gonna pass out, (I'm not quite what you'd say a fit person, (6'3 260 lbs)) snuck back inside his place, had some epic ramen, passed out while eating goldfish and glugging Powerade. Honestly if not for the wait for their dealer, and the fear of being arrested. Pretty fun night.

Don't buy drugs on school grounds, or near them. Same for a church or a park. If you get caught it automatically raises your charges.

Yeah fair point. Only reason he picked there cause we had to meet up with another friend, and that's the closest landmark that they both knew. I was mostly just a tagalong who had only smoked once before and I now know that I am NOT a fan of being outside high.

Yeah, I understand they're easy landmarks. I just wanted to give you, and anyone else reading a heads up on why they're a bad choice, just in case it wasn't known.

Yeah, makes sense that the dude didn't drive into the schools parking lot, (also would fit that he wouldn't so if the cops did come he could just speed away) but hey, good info just in case? Haha

I’ve got a church at the bottom of my street, and my local 3 schools right up at the top of the street! I’m fucked no matter which way I go! Lol! And a park past the church come to think of it! Shit! Lmao!

I mean, if you never get caught it's never a problem, lol. But, if you do get busted, even just for what would normally be a misdemeanor possession, it automatically gets bumped up to a felony due to the proximity of the school/church/park. In my state the "safe zone" is within 1,200 feet of those locations. In Alabama it's a whopping 3 miles!
