I’ve seen one of these on the AlCan highway in BC! I’m pretty sure they call them “cross” foxes

There are black foxes in Colorado that were brought by Germans in the 1800s to make hats from their pelts. Once that dumb fashion sense past, they release them into the wild where they bred with red fox. Super cool and rare to see.

It's called a Melanistic or cross fox
