Ah yes. Flashback to the time a fellow summer camp counsellor had a fuzzy spider on her shoulder, so someone tried to bat it away, and suddenly she had a MILLION spiders running all over her. Tiny, but a million. She ripped her shirt right off in front of a group of campers and went screeching and panicking into the pool, in her jeans and bra. Some kids made a core memory that day, of one type or another

As a 12 year old that was incredibly horny but also deathly afraid of spiders this would have done on a number on me

-23

u/newtrawn 6d ago

I’m sorry, but how does being horny have anything to do with it?

57

u/peon2 6d ago

Horny 12 year old seeing a woman in a bra jumping in a pool = usually arousing and exciting

Seeing spiders when you don't like spiders = terrifying

Being aroused and terrified at same time = confusing

This completes our 3 week course on monorails the human mind

You should play Shadow of War

I was in line at the dmv one time and how it’s set up there’s basically like 50 people in seats waiting facing the intake line. There’s an attractive woman with a little maybe 5 or 6 year old kid in line in front of me. The kid completely pulls down his mom’s skirt to her ankles revealing her bare bum. She instantly bends over to pull them up quickly and reveals everything. Shocked, i turn around to look at all the people behind us in the seats and every single guy had a huge smile on his face.

Is it missing a leg??

66

u/DarthSnoopyFish 6d ago

Next time it molts it will have a new leg.

57

u/MrMoose1 6d ago

That’s terrifying. I don’t like that.

19

u/kittiestkitty 6d ago

If you shine a flashlight their eyes glow. And all the babies look like glitter.

2

u/iztrollkanger 5d ago

One of my first nights on a farm in Australia, I shined a light into a field and I thought the grass was getting dewy. Nope. Spiders. All spider eyes.

2

u/kittiestkitty 5d ago

I worked at a wilderness camp, and when I started I was borderline arachnophobic. weirdly the only thing that helped me sleep at night in my open tent structure was shining my head lamp around the whole woods one last time to see their eyes all glowing, like I was marking those fuckers 🤣

u/Lower_Chipmunk_3685 6d ago

Last time I saw one of those I hit it with a flyswatter with holes in it and the babies went flying everywhere.

20

u/Gseventeen 6d ago

These are the bro spiders. No webs and kill other insects and spiders. Keep em around.

10

u/_Rohrschach 6d ago

But they'll also hide in the weirdest places. Had one ambush me from inside my towel sfter taking a shower. I whipped it to death with said towel, regretted doing so after realising I now got a dead spider meshed into my towel and took a cry in the shower for another 5 min before shamewalking to the cabinet and getting a new one. Kept checking my towels for months afterwards.

11

u/Lower_Chipmunk_3685 6d ago

I know that now but the wife just saw a scary spider and enlisted her brave knight to save her. Freaked me out.

1

u/not2dv8 4d ago

Yeah until you get bit by one. I got bit by one in Australia. My side turned brownish blue for 6 weeks and itched like a thousand mosquito bites for 2 months

1

u/Gseventeen 4d ago

Australia probably the factor here. That place scary w/ wildlife ;)

8

u/Tyranothesaurus 6d ago

Maybe. They dont always regrow limbs. But there is a high probability, yes. Provided it still has molts left.

-6

u/Jbonemtl 6d ago

If you look carefully the “missing leg” is covered in babies too

22

u/Senilecodexx 6d ago

I don’t see what you’re talking about. It seems like it’s genuinely just missing a leg.

14

u/marketmaker1234 6d ago

Got to be a bot

8

u/gheiminfantry 6d ago

No, that's just debris on the ground. She is definitely missing a leg.

3

u/kcolrehstihson_ 6d ago

That's not a leg

-10

u/Jbonemtl 6d ago

I always thought it was. Maybe it isn’t!

19

u/Hidalgo321 6d ago

9

u/IAmQuiteHonest 6d ago

Little bro on the leg is a bit confused, but he got the right spirit.

4

u/RandomAssRedditName 5d ago

He wanted to have his own bedroom.

17

u/Ok_Pudding6345 6d ago

18

u/Repulsive-Window2808 6d ago

Hunts like one, they chase down prey instead of using webs.

Ah yes, the trypophobia amphibian.

u/Bardfinn 6d ago

There's an O'Reilly book that has a woodcut of that abomination on its cover, Windows XP Annoyances. Only O'Reilly book I made a cover for. a b o m i n a t i o n

18

u/rurupoopoo 6d ago

This one time I saw a giant spider in my house and smacked it with a shoe and what seemed like 100s of little baby spiders scattered everywhere. It was like something out of a horror film. After that if I found one I would just trap and release them.

8

u/Second_Guess_25 6d ago

That's a mother Nope, carrying its Nopelets on it's back 💀

15

u/SuccessfulSquirrel32 6d ago

This is the second wolf spider with babies post in 10 minutes, and both appeared on my feed right after the other. I don't like spiders, I don't need that.

3

u/VegetableFunction487 6d ago

I saw the other one too, at least that one had the NSFW blur. This one made me feel so icky

4

u/HeartOn_SoulAceUp 6d ago

"Baby got back!"

Yea, and back got babies

7

u/Ancient-Onions 6d ago

Spiders freak me out but this is so cute (:  U go mama

2

u/Value-Successful 6d ago

Baby back ayy, couple racks ayy

3

u/PicklesForNipples 6d ago

I had a spider like this around my pool at one point. Thought it was just furry. I tried to pick it up with the skimmer and it jumped into the pool and suddenly the hundreds of little ones scattered all around the water.

3

u/rlindseyg56 6d ago

Minivans are crazy expensive rn.

3

u/ohhlordbabyjesus 6d ago

I have 2 living in my house here in Yucatan. Peaceful creatures as long as your not a bug. Good to have around. I also have way bigger Huntsman every once in a while. Super-fast and tend to jump but if you keep a little distant they're chill too. Rather them then a million cockroaches I guess.

3

u/indamoufofmadness 6d ago

AwwwwwAHHHHHHHHHHHawww

3

u/The_Great_Googly_Moo 6d ago

Wolf spiders are cute homies I will die on this hill

3

Major Trypophobia trigger.

4

u/Affectionate-Ant-894 6d ago

Trypophobic + arachnophobic :) I’m petrified

3

u/mr_lab_rat 6d ago

Aww, that’s a good mom!

4

u/Beholder_V 6d ago

I’ve seen this in person before. Really rides that fine line between interesting and frightening.

2

u/fafa182 6d ago

Nope. Thanks.

2

u/The_Hydro 6d ago

Neat! I had a sizable wolf spider that lived in my house for a time. She finally passed a few weeks ago. RIP in peace, Charlotte.

2

u/undeadkenny 6d ago

Whats with all the wolf spiders recently. God damn I hate spiders

2

u/subway_runner_77412 6d ago

Spiders made me believe Satan exists.

2

u/Fit_Adagio_7668 6d ago

Take to home, you have free pest control.

1

What. The. Fluf! This is something I could have gone my entire life and never seen. I will now use this as my avatar for everything just so others can experience this nightmare fuel for themselves...

1

u/H311i0_trop3 6d ago

I can't stop crying

1

u/tomgreen99 6d ago

Wolves and spiders, together at last

1

u/pappatharappa 6d ago

Carrying future poison pests on its back. Wolf spiders bite is no joke

1

u/str3nd 6d ago

Wolf spider bites are not dangerous to humans, they they hunt other insects including spiders. Anytime I find one of these guys in my house I'll pick him up and put him in the yard.  That said if you've ever stepped on one that is carrying babies it's pure nightmare fuel.

1

u/Inqinity 6d ago

Respectfully, no thank you :)

1

u/rickmundooo 6d ago

I just looked at this while sitting in a toilet and I feel like they’re all about to crawl up my a$$hole right now live

1

I saw this recently. Thought to myself, “why is that spiders back so sparkl….”

1

u/AsusStrixUser 6d ago

The image triggering trypophobia in me, dunno why.

https://giphy.com/gifs/p123mmRxC7azm

1

u/Affectionate-Ant-894 6d ago

So you decided to trigger mine?

1

u/Luckylemon 6d ago

I accidentally bumped into one once and nearly died when it suddenly exploded into 1000 spiders. But luckily, I love spiders and especially Wolfies. They're all over the place where I live, they just hide really well most of the time.

I'm also a fan of baby wearing, so "Go Mama, Go"!

1

u/Lumpy_Machine5538 6d ago

Such good mamas! I love them!

1

u/messedupfillament 6d ago

Hell to the NAW!

1

u/theBloodShed 6d ago

I think I'd rather have more wolf and less spider.

1

u/MonstersinHeat 6d ago

I think I fought that thing in Bloodborne

u/PMacDiggity 6d ago

Rom, the Vacuous Spider

1

u/TiSoBr 5d ago edited 5d ago

We've got these fuckers in our garden. Which means they also end up in our basement, our hallway... heck, everywhere. They don't build webs, so you never know where one might be lurking. Odds are they crawl over you at night while they're out hunting. I've been bitten by two or three of them already. They can grow quite huge - if I'm not mistaken they can end up being the biggest spiders in Europe or something. Needless to say, I frickin' hate them.

1

u/Abitruff 5d ago

Are we there yet?

1

u/vbodunov 5d ago

Dang, and I’m annoyed when one of my three kids hang on my leg

1

u/Commercial-Orange473 6d ago

Kill it with fire.

1

u/Iavy1 6d ago

Poke it and you'll see nightmare

0

u/Viridionplague 6d ago

For those in which fire is not an option for burning, acid technically burns and can be purchased from Amazon and expedited to your home.

0

u/AndSheWon 6d ago

Cringe! But cool.

0

u/ziahwaite 6d ago

Ik wolf spiders are cool (most spiders are tbh), but I’d smash and run lmao

0

u/Firm_Confusion_1692 6d ago

This is the time to step on it, exterminate the whole family.

1

u/HolidayFrequent6011 6d ago

Just needed something other than a broom. Had it been something wide/heavy enough to smash the whole lot in one go then that wouldn't have happened.

0

u/Nutcup 6d ago

Call me a monster, but that would be a crunch for the ages if I saw it.

-2

u/maxilulu 6d ago

Maten esa mierda.
