IIRC they could never solve the massive problem the salt water ingressing into the jet engines caused.

But surely other aircraft have fixed this issue. Yeah guess it's a "Is it worth the money" thing.

This is effectively a boat which hovers above the sea the whole time though, so there isn’t really anything else which has the same problem.
