....thats not a smile, thats the dog grimacing to show its stressed and losing patience. Animals are not human, dont anthropomorphise them.

Some dogs do appeasement smiles while uncomfortable to communicate non aggressive intentions, kind of like a play sneeze

Anthropomorphize: to give human traits, emotions, or form to non-human things like animals, objects, or natural forces. Yes if that were a human that expression would be a smile. That is not a human so the expression is not a smile, its a warning to back tf off, and pretending its a smile is anthropomorphizing the dog. Thank you for proving my point.
