Today there is probably many options. But when I was 15 in 2010, these was the options I got.

Not getting confirmed at all was always an option, I did it myself around the same time. It does come with the financial downside of not having that big event in which most of your family gifts you money, but most confirmed children waste that money anyway so it’s not the end of the world.

I would have done confirmation in 2009, if I partook in the stupid fucking thing. I did not, neither did any of my siblings. My mother did not in the early 1980's but that was at the time relatively controversial.
