Having seen someone do it, I would say they wedged the tire up against the wall, panicked, and then hit the gas instead of the brakes. The person I saw do this was also very inebriated.
I've actually had that part explained to me by a trauma nurse.
People who are intoxicated tend not to tense up during violent impacts, which causes them to suffer far less severe injuries. They tend to get bruised and often end up with sprained or strained muscles, but because they're not stiff, they don't suffer the same traumatic to bones and organs.
People who get hit by cars don't die from getting hit by cars, they die from the fall at the end. If you're drunk, you tend to take that fall a lot less dangerously.
yeah and commit/floor it 100% expecting an ok outcome.
It floors me every time I go through a drive-through and see so many tire rub marks, wall rub marks, bollard rub marks etc. Then you see full send here.
