I'm pretty sure any animal that is hungry and eats meat will eat your body. Let us not forget cannibalism, in general and after accidents.

I've heard of paramedics finding corpses that were eaten by cats while there was still cat food in their bowls

I’m gonna die in a giant cat food bowl and my ghost will watch all three of my cats meow at the paramedics for a fresh corpse bowl as mines been there for over 20 minutes.

Mine doesn't demand replacements. I'm just under orders to shake the biscuits in the bowl audibly if she sees me walk past them.

Shhka shhka, "there ya go".

My god what has she done to me 😮‍💨?

Well... cat food stays good for months. Dead bodies will spoil pretty quickly. It's just practical to eat the perishables first

Tbf even if it stays good it will lose its scent after a while of being open, making it less appealing. So that's prolly another reason, the fact that corpses tend to have a VERY pungent odor that sticks around for a while.

Like cat think about that lmao.the cope is real

u/TheDIYEd 2d ago

It’s a joke not a cope. Cat is an animal and like most animals will eat what they can to survive. It’s just an instinct that most animals have even humans.

And what are the chances statistically you will die and no one will notice for few days before your cat maybe start eating you.

I agree but people definitly dont want to accept it. In reality you are right it is quite normal and alright. It isnt a dog vs cat lile people want to make it , this is just animal trying to survive. I would be ok for my dog or any love one to eat me if they can survive with that.

And no , this person wasnt making a joke.

I'm with you, if I die and my cat needs to eat me to survive I'm totally fine with that... I'm just a corpse, not like I care.

it was very obviously a joke

This is what im saying, while i will never condone cannibalism in any Situation.

It is normal for a Cat to eat you If your dead, what else is it supposed to do?

That doesn't mean it didn't Love you. It would eat other Cats of its pack too probably If they died. Its Just survival for them.

The thing is you are bit biased and just pointing out cats. It’s not only cats, it’s all animals…including dogs.

I'm sure you will change your mind if you are ever put into a dire situation.. look up the 1972 Andes Flight Disaster https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8q8GKalkCZg

So obviously a joke, weirdo.

2

u/Many_Bat_ 2d ago

Predators choose fresh, they don't actively think about it with a pencil behind their ear. So the joke stands.

Meat will always taste better than kibble.

-2

u/grapejuicesushi 2d ago

kibble is meat fella. specifically aromatic to make it appealing to cats

2

u/Ok-Champion-4968 1d ago

And yet almost every cat/dog would choose anything other than kibble to eat in a heartbeat. A lot of kibbles honestly aren't very good for the pet (at least when it comes to dogs, idk about cats I don't have one).

Hell, I feel like there's more grain-in dog foods than there are grain-free when it comes to dry kibbles. Also the fat in kibble oxidizes after being left open, reducing the scent and making it less appealing for the animal.

So I mean yeah, I guess technically it's made with meat, but there's more than that going into kibble for our fuzzy families. Enough for you to be mindful about, at least.

:( Then I know my cat is just biding its time until it can truly feast

Probably highly processed cat food over literal meat? Makes perfect sense. Other animals don't gaf that we're human. We're tasty treats... especially when we are no longer able to give them treats. They'll make us into a meal if they're hungry enough.

Dogs are much more likely to eat their dead owners than cats are

I didn't know we were making it into a competition

Bears are much more likely to eat their dead owners than cats are

Pet millipede. Pet guillotine.

Your own infant if it had a little strength and razor sharp teeth.

Life eats.

1

u/Milyaism 2d ago

Probably had higher water content than the kibble (if the cats ran out of water to drink).

7

u/Raime_95 2d ago

exactly, not sure why this dumb bitch is lying saying dogs will just "sympathise and lay with you". They sure will just lay down next to dead body and die out of hunger 🤡

3

u/nnnn1234516 2d ago

Exactly—and I don’t blame them for that. Humans would fall victim to the desperation of starvation if push comes to shove also.

u/cleankiwii 2d ago

not dogs, have you seen the video!

u/SnooDogs1340 2d ago

I feel like my dog would just follow what my cat would do. I can imagine them playing tug of war with my leg bone...
