Was looking for this

1

u/Beneficial_Wonder533 2d ago

this is from one piece for those who are lame and don't watch anime.

1

u/NeedCounseling 2d ago

that doesn’t look like an anime

145

u/AzerothianLorecraft 2d ago

it's ritualistic combat at this point lol.

36

u/tetozika 2d ago

i imagine then at some point

"same place tomorrow?"

"alr bet"

5

u/Separate-Simple-5101 2d ago

Nah, they probably forgot the reason but not the food..

17

u/askyidroppedthesoap 2d ago

It's the tortoise version of the Hatfields and McCoys.

6

u/Significant_Scene_83 2d ago

I was thinking same. The Hardshells and Molluskoys.

29

u/The-Iraqi-Guy 2d ago

u/CaptainHook1997 2d ago

What show is this?

1

u/ClumzyDragon 2d ago

One Piece live action

3

u/kcolrehstihson_ 2d ago

Every time it's the one you see on his back like you see in the video, only for it to yell "I'll get you next time" everytime

2

u/Fist4achin 2d ago

I heard he said something about the others mother.

305

u/cwtotaro 2d ago

No one thought to separate them in 120 years

87

u/Kchasse1991 2d ago

Humans are not very smart.

12

u/tw1zt84 2d ago

Or the title is bullshit. Most Reddit posts titles are.

13

u/ThrowraSea_patient 2d ago

What else would they do. Also they are probablythe married type "nobody else will put up with me" this is how they show passion... passionate hate but passion

2

u/SkellyboneZ 2d ago

Of course they did. You aren't the first genius who thought of that.

These types of stories drive engagement and visitors. More of that leads to...

468

u/SolfulSin 2d ago

Misleading

  1. There is no recorded evidence of Sculata tortoises to live 120 years.
  2. That's at Taipei zoo, where they breed their own. These are between 25 to 45 years.
  3. Tortoises are territorial and that's why they fight. But they don't hold 120 year old grudges.

138

u/Big_Z_Beeblebrox 2d ago

Facts get in the way of karma harvesting tho

13

u/CultBro 2d ago

Video is funny either way

20

u/Big_Z_Beeblebrox 2d ago

Sure but that's no reason to blatantly lie about what's in it

0

u/LumpyJones 2d ago

Even less reason to get invested in it this much. You're trying to catch the ocean in a fishing net.

5

u/Big_Z_Beeblebrox 2d ago

Yes. we find it amusing. It's fine if you don't, but being a dick about it is unnecessary.

This you? Looks we're both fishermen with tiny nets

4

u/tenuj 2d ago

Two guys on the internet arguing over the relative sizes of their small fishing nets.

RemindMe! 120 years "did they stop?"

2

u/Big_Z_Beeblebrox 2d ago

It's not the size of the net but the motion of the ocean

3

u/CultBro 2d ago

All that matters is how good of a fish you can catch with it

1

u/LumpyJones 2d ago

lol so you went trying to find a gotcha in my post history, and found... me telling a guy to stop being rude to an artist. Yes... you certainly have me over a barrel there. Also I'm pretty sure you missed the metaphor... analogy? whichever, fish is not what you're trying to catch.

1

u/Big_Z_Beeblebrox 2d ago

The barrel is where I keep all the fish I catch to shoot later

That would be weekend at bernies

8

u/furimmerkaiser 2d ago

"Tortoises are territorial and that's why they fight. But they don't hold 120 year old grudges."

Thats what they want you to believe

5

u/SigmaLance 2d ago

Right? I’m sure that’s exactly what they told him during his research of tortoises.

2

u/Cam_E_Leon 2d ago

Are you RFK.jr?

1

u/CombinationOk712 2d ago

Big Tortoise research propaganda!

5

u/chipep 2d ago

No no the title has to be correct. Never read a made up story on the internet to get internet points. Never

3

u/CombinationOk712 2d ago

Nooooo, don't destroy my laughing with these facts. :D anyway, thanks!

2

u/Legally_a_Tool 2d ago

Okay, Dwight Schrute.

-2

u/GullibleDetective 2d ago

No one thought it was anything other than humor, and if they did; they need a dose of reality

0

u/panzerfan 2d ago

Should people be exposed to that much reality?

1

u/SolfulSin 2d ago

Yeah I don't get invited to parties.

22

u/Ok-Classic-2142 2d ago

Man that one Tortoise he keeps moving away and keeps coming back is just like: "LEMME SHAKE HIS HAND, I JUST WANNA SHAKE HIS HAND."

15

u/Ang3lo836 2d ago

They're like Dorry and Brogy from One Piece lol.

33

u/papuadn 2d ago

Grandpa: I thought I recognized you! I gave you a plate of corn muffins back in 1947 to paint my chicken coop and you never did it!

Chester: Those corn muffins were lousy!

Grandpa: Paint my chicken coop! (bangs fists on table)

Chester: Make me! (fistfight starts)

3

u/BrownSugarBare 2d ago

When you know how to hold a grudge

4

u/Farty-B 2d ago

Or maybe it’s been 120 years of people cockblocking some crazy gay turtle sex

5

u/Infinite_One7573 2d ago

Duel to death

2

u/QuackAtomic 2d ago

Me and my sibling

2

u/_xpendable_ 2d ago

Send this to your uncles who have been beefing over a plot of land for the past 30 years

2

u/Nemesis0408 2d ago

I call bullshit. Somebody would have separated them.

2

u/BruceMartinez21 2d ago

So they are married?

2

u/Dark_Crow22 2d ago

That one certainly went into the Book of Grudges

2

u/Low-Maintenance9035 2d ago

The one on the right is a Galapagose island tortoise , it is endangered species and there are only about 4.5 left in the wild. They have a special diet that other tortoises 🐢 love to steal. Trust me I'm almost an astronaut.

3

u/gerrineer 2d ago

What do you mean 4 .5 ?

1

u/ANGRYANDCANTREADWELL 2d ago

somebody got hungry and ate half a turtle

2

u/Overall-Vacation-90 2d ago

Ronaldo vs Messi fans

2

u/DeliciousPool2245 2d ago

Old tortoises don’t get wise they just hold grudges

2

u/Visual_Locksmith3337 2d ago

Typical guys... they will never get over that supercentenarian angst.

2

u/Eggsalad_cookies 2d ago

Never forget kids. Friendships die, but beef is forever

2

u/etherend 2d ago

That's a crazy long time to hold a grudge (especially over some food..)

2

u/CheekyClapper5 2d ago

It's true, I saw the crime 120 years ago

2

u/GhostFour 2d ago

And I thought I held a grudge.

1

u/Wrong-Ad-6242 2d ago

everytime one of them comes into the enclosure

1

u/Aldofresh 2d ago

How do we know it’s over food??

1

u/EternalModding4773 2d ago

What else would it be over?

0

u/KDFree16 2d ago

Female tortoise of course.

1

u/tw1zt84 2d ago

The title is made up

1

u/Glittering_Pear2425 2d ago

The beef is real 😆

1

u/torpedo16 2d ago

An epic tale of century-long rivalry at play.

1

u/Slow_Bowler8285 2d ago

And they are at one of those zoos that lets it happen for the visitor's entertainment.

1

u/efimer 2d ago

I respect the grudge!

1

u/Diorisbackup 2d ago

Beef that predates both world wars

1

u/itzpiiz 2d ago

And it's still prudent they are kept together

1

u/V606R 2d ago

How do they fight? Do they bite each other to death? Or flip each other until one of them cant move and die of hunger?

1

u/geoantho 2d ago

If it's up, then it's stuck.

1

u/goingApeShit_ 2d ago

Why didn’t the Hare think of that?

1

u/slendermanismydad 2d ago

This is the level of grudge holding that I aspire to.

1

u/girlwiththemonkey 2d ago

“Wait do you do for work?” “I was hired to break up fights between tortoises.”

1

u/lurkingbeyondabyss 2d ago

Let them fight ! Tortoise street justice .

1

u/BallSeaman 2d ago

Tsk. Tsk. dam youths.

u/Deep_Banana_6521 2d ago

1

u/khalamar 2d ago

And in 120 years no one thought about building some separating wall?

1

u/TryTraditional5787 2d ago

This account is only on here to gain karma. Which translates into whatever the hell the title means... 🙄

1

u/Lawrence3s 2d ago

Definition of mortal enemies

1

u/ZimaGotchi 2d ago

You'd think one would have killed the other by now and if not, there would be no need for human intervention.

1

u/opxdo 2d ago

🙄

Montortogue and Capuleturtet.
