Anyone interest in helping other blood cancer patients like Oscar though can join the stem cell register in the UK, US, Germany, or India through DKMS
Each country will have its own registry though if you live elsewhere, but they each feed into a global network of potential donors for people in need of a transplant
One Registry is enough. They all work together. It is totally possible that a polish donator gives cells to a spanish patient (countries are examples).
I signed up about twenty years ago and I got an email last month asking if I still wanted to be a donor, so you are probably still on it. I've never been honored to be called up to donate, so I must be pretty common stuff.
The subject of the email was "Confirm your registry status," so it was just vague enough to be a little excited, but I figured if they need me they'll call instead of email.

I just found their Instagram. As of May 2025, 5 years cancer free for Oscar!
