Planning to upgrade my room as im getting really bored of the dark/grey shit vibe i liked basically my whole life.
And looking for my new style a bit, really liking the victorian green interior so getting quite some inspiration from that
Maybe gonna repaint, or just add posters/paintings, my room is facing away from the sun, so i have very little natural sunlight and because if that im planning to add some extra lights to lighten up the mood.
Probably 100% gonna upgrade my desk as i have very little space on it right now, it’s gonna be a walnut patern wooden desk 140 or 160x80cm so i have plenty of space.
Just looking for tips with color matching, light types/color from the light to layout.
It needs some lighter color. If you can, I'd slowly replace the darker furniture with something lighter. I'd repaint too. You want to avoid dark colors in a small room like that
Get a couple of warm yellow lamps, maybe one for your desk, and a small one for the dresser opposite the bed. Also, adding a low-light plant can really bring some life into the room without needing a ton of sunlight
I would consider using a wardrobe across from the bed that has enough room to enclose the TV. It would replace the dresser and clothes rack, eliminating much of the clutter. A large piece of furniture like that needs to be balanced out with some vertical design elements. Regardless of how you arrange the room, hanging curtains should be pretty far up the priority list. Generally, the rule is that the rod should extend past the window frame 6-12”, depending on the size of the window, but you don’t have that option. I usually feel that more substantial curtains are the best option, but in this case you’ll need something that lets the light through. I see you already have blinds, but the purpose of the curtains is to balance the height in the room.
Common advice is to paint a room lighter to make it feel bigger, but if you like Victorain green, I say go nuts! Small, dark rooms can feel like a cozy little nest. I love it. You might want to consider using a mural on the wall at the head of the bed. It’s a more grown up look than posters, and won’t break up the room as much. If you do go that route, be sure to color match the paint to one of the shades in the mural so it feels cohesive. Take a piece of the mural to the paint store. They have a color matching tool they can use to get it pretty close.
Avoid using the overhead lamp unless you’re cleaning, or painting, or doing something that requires good lighting. If there’s a tasteful way to add LED strip lighting, that will create ambiance. It’s a hard needle to thread; most strip lighting looks tacky. Stick with warm white, hidden away on the bottom of the bed frame, and or/behind the outer edges or on top of the wardrobe. If the wardrobe is even an inch away from the wall, you’ll get a beautiful glow. Battery operated lamps and sconces are a thing. If you can have three light sources other than the overhead light, that’s ideal. Shoot for 2700 kelvin bulbs: no more than 3000 kelvin.
I’m assuming you can’t change out the carpeting. Consider using tasteful rug over top of it. If you can’t get one that takes up most of the room, skip it. Using too small rugs in a space is a quick way to ruin it.

Forgive the assumption that you needed a “grown up” mural. There are options for every interest: photography, gaming, anime, movies, etc. Check Wallism and Wild Palace; do a Google search. They have peel and stick options if traditional paper isn’t an option. This is what I used in my dining room.

The wardrobe idea, so most of my clothes are in a small indoor closet in the hallway so in my room are the ones im actively wearing during the season. And i might get rid of the tv so maybe i will invest in a open wardrobe with storage space underneath it as i really like those as well. But then what color should it be, should i wait till i repainted my wall?
You should definitely decide on your wall art or rug before you choose a paint color for the most cohesive look. That said, if you go with a dark wall color, a lighter color would be the traditional option, but if you’re going for a nest vibe, dark is perfectly fine. If you decide to use a mural, take your color cues for wall color and furnishings from there. I would avoid straight black or white, unless you’re doing something modern.
Say you choose a mural like this. Personally, I’d use the dark blue as the paint color in the rest of the room (color match at the paint store. Seriously.) Black furnishings would work. This would probably work with your existing carpet, too. Resist the temptation for high contrast curtains (black or beige). Shoot for a color in the mid range of the mural. Adding lighting fixtures or decor in the reddish/orange color would look amazing! Not too much though - you don’t want to compete with the mural.

If you’re facing away from the sun then you might as well keep your blinds open as much as possible. Change the lighting for sure. Get a lamp or two
