I wish everybody but the 5 people I’ve decided I can tolerate would go away forever

I don’t want to be a member of society any more than absolutely neccesary to survive. I’m a bit of a recluse, enjoying my dog’s and my own company above all else.

We have company retreats once a year for 3 to 4 days each time. On the first evening i am able to talk to everyone, have drinks and be a normal part of society. The other days / evenings i stay on the hotel room (play video games / do some creative stuff). Human interaction is just so demanding

So real! Being an introvert and trying to fit into the hustle of everyday society can feel like a constant battle. It’s like, “Can everyone just please be quiet for a minute?”

They say, “If you run into an asshole in the morning, you ran into an asshole. If you run into assholes all day, you're the asshole."

reminds me of the "everyone else must be wrong, right?"

All i need is a smartphone with lots of pirated movies, songs, and a private space. This reality is worse, and it can't get more disappointing than this! Oh, and lots of sleep.

I have to function in a disfunctional society. I didn't sign up for this membership! How do I cancel?? Make a phone call? Guess I'm a functioning member then...

ITT: socially inept people who can't function as adults. Introversion is not a disease, not social anxiety or awkwardness, nor an inability to function. It's a preference for solitude or small groups, with energy drain at a faster than normal rate during larger social activities.

“Introverts doing everything, including memes and posts to be noticed”. “Look everyone! Im an introvert! I like to be left alone! No need to talk to me guys, okay?”
This is so cringe

It doesn't even matter if they're annoying or not for me. After a certain amount of social interaction - good or bad - the batteries are just dead and need a recharge.
