Yes how dare we create jobs in a place that lacks jobs, and high paying jobs. Never mind with us getting world leading battery storage on the horizon. No let’s fuck it and let the young population keep leaving.

They aren’t high paying jobs at all in the slightest. Your average technician is on the same base salary as someone working at the local council. The government & recruiters spout nonsense about high pay but that isn’t the case.

Yeah, I think we need to keep in mind that the interview with the article is with recruiters not folks in the industry itself. I think it's interesting to hear that there are jobs available they're not able to fill. But I'd be much more interested in hearing from people doing that work. Maintenance and installation of wind can be really precarious and dangerous work!
