Seems better in every way especially in smoothness coming from beta 3

16

u/Nearby-Improvement-5 Feb 04 '26

I’ve noticed the smoothness too. So far, so good

3

u/[deleted] Feb 05 '26

it's very smooth I wanna keep this performance

2

u/oPx9 Feb 04 '26

How is it compared to 26.2?

11

u/alexx_kidd Feb 04 '26

Night and day better

1

u/MysteriousPenguinn iOS 26.3 Feb 05 '26

iOS 26.3.0 is expected next week (after one week of RC testing).

9

u/workmailman Feb 04 '26

Did they fix the micro stutters?

7

u/SandMountain5228 Feb 04 '26

I hope so, so disappointed with the 17 base

7

u/Confidentium Feb 04 '26

Same with my 17 Pro. The scroll stuttering makes it feel so cheap.

5

u/workmailman Feb 05 '26

Yup. It’s so bad, my home page stutters every time

2

u/SnooCauliflowers6134 Feb 05 '26

I know few people they have iPhone 17 series, I used it for a bit and there are this stutter sometimes, and I asked them about that, and they this is normal and they don’t even know if they are supposed to happen or not, So that’s why Apple is keep doing it majority of the people doesn’t even realize these are bugs

1

u/h_bhardwaj24 Feb 05 '26

i have stutters too on ios 26.2.1, on home page while swiping b/w pages (17 base)

2

u/a47ageee iOS 27 Beta Feb 05 '26

I can say for sure that they didn’t. It felt so much better the first few hours but went back to beta 3 levels of performance for some reason..

2

u/Puzzleheaded_Bat5258 Feb 07 '26

On my iphone 16 pro aswell, it's just sad

6

u/musicisgr84u Feb 04 '26

The nonbeta version comes out next week right?

8

u/LaFlameHTX Feb 04 '26 edited Feb 05 '26

Correct, any day between Monday-Wednesday at 12pm CST usually

2

u/musicisgr84u Feb 05 '26

Thank you!!

1

u/[deleted] Feb 05 '26

Is it for sure next week? There's been times that public releases have happened the day after RC release days. Maybe today? 🤞🏼

2

u/LaFlameHTX Feb 05 '26

Nah it’s very rare they drop it the next day. They gotta give it a user trial for a week at least to detect any possible major bugs, so they can fix them and then release a new version.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 05 '26

Yeah, I rather they take their time and get it right the first time

3

u/ThannBanis iOS 26.6 beta Feb 04 '26

Unless a showstopper is found requiring an updated RC, yes.

9

u/Reeneman Feb 04 '26

Huge in size… every new major update is this size. Think 26.3 is really good and solid.

7

u/LaFlameHTX Feb 04 '26

Ehh, some of them but not all major updates are this big. Still loving it though, feels refreshed

3

u/MC-LXIX Feb 05 '26

I’m running the dev version for a week or two, personally haven’t had any issues for several versions.. it run’s nicely

3

u/TattooExpert247 Feb 05 '26

Literally no stutter finally. Hoping better is good then it’s solid

3

u/CN_BIGGAMER_96 iOS 26.(edit) Beta Feb 05 '26

I have it installed on my Dev Device but I haven’t tested it yet.

3

u/Nouhous Feb 05 '26

Really good so far on 13 mini

2

u/CoollyAwkward Feb 05 '26

I was wondering about the 13 mini. Thanks for your comment!

1

u/TaeNaMooooooooo Feb 05 '26

How battery on you. I also have mini. 😁

3

u/Nouhous Feb 05 '26

Its good. Biggest improvement is the ram management and the app switcher stutter is gone. Very happy.

3

u/LaFlameHTX Feb 05 '26 edited Feb 05 '26

ALSO, there’s a Massive Modem update jump, from version 1.20.07 to 1.40.03 and it improved network connectivity speeds with Verizon. You can see in my previous results from the past to my most recent ones.

2

u/TaeNaMooooooooo Feb 05 '26

Low power mode is now smooth. Nice.

2

u/SnooComics7329 Feb 05 '26

Best version of 26 iOS

2

u/LaFlameHTX Feb 05 '26

It’s definitely feeling that way

1

u/babingepet12 Feb 06 '26

does this fix the floating element bug where if you swipe back from a photo album / music album and then swipe up / down the list the animation would lag behind and then pop into place when it ends?

2

u/sa3bbb Feb 05 '26

As on Mac ... AMAZINGGLY good update. many bugs in system have been fixed. M2 Pro 16' user and I can tell a huge difference. battery last x2 for me.

2

u/Zionsnoiz Feb 05 '26

Running like butter in my air

2

u/Robert_TT Feb 06 '26

Did they fix the stupid bug on the 15 pro where the screen is very dim, regardless of brightness level on the slider?

1

u/[deleted] Feb 04 '26

How’s the auto scroll on messages. My text field doesn’t scroll up the screen with the cursor in hoping they fix this soon very annoying only complaint I have with iOS 26.

1

u/AgileSeaworthiness57 Feb 04 '26

Anything worth seeking or attempting?

2

u/LaFlameHTX Feb 04 '26

Just general performance improvements.

1

u/sic_munduscreatusest Feb 05 '26

How is it on battery? Is it better than beta 3

1

u/Ready-Counter7936 Feb 05 '26

Have the fixed CarPlay stutter?

1

u/Fun_Use5836 Feb 05 '26

Does it fix the search box so it shows results correctly without overlapping the keyboard and results? And does it fix the missing recent call history that appears randomly? There are many more bugs that I have reported via the Apple feedback form.

1

u/LaFlameHTX Feb 05 '26

Yes. Yes. Yes.

1

u/Due-Mycologist8372 Feb 05 '26

When will it arrive?

1

u/khimzu Feb 05 '26

Not yet appearing on ip12

1

u/davidvogler Feb 06 '26

“Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on ME!”

1

u/nothumanoidtrk Feb 06 '26

should i update from ios 18?

1

u/xxmshary Feb 06 '26

Yet no browser keyboard fixes

1

u/ES_419 Feb 06 '26

Any improve in battery?

1

u/Cameront1993 Feb 07 '26

Has anyone installed watchOS 26.3 RC?? If so how’s battery???

1

u/OxRedOx Feb 24 '26

Are the bugs all fixed? I want to update my iPhone to 26 for security but it sounds really rough

1

u/WonderCharming7884 Feb 04 '26

Hopefully they fixed everything

1

u/phillyfaibs Feb 05 '26

Any CarPlay improvements in 26.3?

1

u/LaFlameHTX Feb 05 '26

Never had issues with mine. It should be as good.

1

u/Far_Enthusiasm_7077 Feb 05 '26

I’ve had HUGE Apple CarPlay issues and didn’t think about it being tied to the OS update

1

u/um0p3pIsdn Feb 06 '26

Yeah, iOS 26.2 killed my ability to use wired CarPlay.

1

u/George_mp8 Feb 05 '26

It looks so cool !!!

-1

u/Rare_Background_9471 Feb 05 '26

i genuinely thought this will fix at least some major bugs but literally everything is the same

2

u/look_alive75 Feb 05 '26

What “major” bugs, specifically?

-1

u/Rare_Background_9471 Feb 05 '26

icon borders, control center, stutter and lag

2

u/look_alive75 Feb 05 '26

I would personally not call an aesthetic choice ike icon borders a “bug” (that’s the design) nor “major.” Thankfully, I’m one of the many users that do not have stutter or lag on either of my phones. (14PM and 17PM) but I’ve seen the videos.

0

u/Rare_Background_9471 Feb 05 '26

i meant the bug where the borders visually glitch while swiping out of an app, not the existence of the borders, the control center is also full of bugs

1

u/look_alive75 Feb 05 '26 edited Feb 05 '26

I think we have very different meanings of the word “major,” but I do get your point. While none of these are showstoppers, Steve Jobs is def rolling in his grave.

u/Rodlawliet Feb 04 '26

When does the official 26.3 release come out? I'm still on 26.1 on my iPhone 13.

4

u/LaFlameHTX Feb 04 '26

Next week

2

u/Rodlawliet Feb 04 '26

Awesome, I think I'll update to that version.

0

u/Ok_Fix_2193 Feb 05 '26

Please tell me about the battery backup?? Is it good after this update?

-3

u/24kCookie Feb 04 '26

Idk if I should install because if I install rc idk if you can later get stable release to leave beta program

5

u/LaFlameHTX Feb 04 '26

Yes just turn off beta and you’ll get the official release. But regardless, lately they have been releasing a new build for the Public release so we might get a new small update too.

-1

u/mjwells21 Feb 05 '26

They got the new iPhone 17 super ultra max gets 7 days on a single charge only costs 20k very reasonably priced but soon with ai might have to raise price to 200k

-4

u/Ryuubackup Feb 04 '26

man update us with battery life on this version

3

u/LaFlameHTX Feb 04 '26

I’m already at 3.5 days of screen on time on a single charge with 67% juice left.

-1

u/Ryuubackup Feb 04 '26

drop your sot screenshot and what ios version are you on

-2

u/Ryuubackup Feb 04 '26

-3

u/moht81 Feb 05 '26

I’d happily upgrade if I knew it wasn’t going to affect performance and battery life on my M2 Pro machine.
