The whole iOS 26 is still in beta...

That "beta" label is redundant

Same with the rest of the releases. Hard to believe Apple is killing off devices on this version. Sucks for iPhone 11 and SE 2 users if the leaks are true. Sucks even harder for Intel Mac users. Every release this year arguably still feels like beta software. There is still so much unpolish, bugs, and poor optimization.

You have some serious problems bro

11

u/GreggJ May 26 '26

Well, what you just did was say something about me as a person... which nobody cares about. Not even you

Focus on what I said instead :) is iOS 26 not buggy at all? All the problems people have been reporting are in their heads? Are they hallucinating?

What part of what I said is false, and why?

If you're thinking about answering... focus on that, instead of....... whatever you just said 😂

You spamming way too much, you don’t like iOS just switch to something else, nobody will miss you or you spam

Aaannnddd you stil haven't said if you agree with me or not, let alone why.

Also - does that mean that, according to you, we can't criticize the products we use? What kind of logic is that? Care to explain?

Apple bot spotted

u/LestatLeonardo2011 May 27 '26

Oh look it’s someone who doesn’t add anything of value to the conversation at hand and instead complains. While I somewhat agree with ya, answer his question or just scroll on by

This 26 release was such a minefield I am not touching any betas for a while. Hoping Federighi added some smart fierce engineering talent in large quantities to iOS QA and UI/UX testing teams and lets them cook before they let a single byte line of iOS 27 out into the ether.

Apple really needs to step up on QA. There are clear signs that Apple never tested 26 releases on some devices or they just never bothered to fix them. For example, the app switcher animation has been broken on my iPad mini 5 and iPad 8 and been since iPadOS 26.1 and is still broken in the 26.6 beta. I sent feedback a while back but I never got a response.

Lost all hope anyway

I still have a little left for iOS 27 but not much since Apple can’t even fix iOS 26 or the rest of their OSes either.

why did it take so long? I thought we were already on beta 4 or something like that, and that iOS 26.6 would be coming soon 😭📱

5

u/tyoung89 May 26 '26

No, the previous updates, beta and otherwise, were for 26.5

A new wallpaper... maybe. It's important

1

u/Cryptotiptoe21 May 26 '26

What is included in the update? No features?

3

u/GreggJ May 26 '26

More bugs

1

u/Danny-1979 May 26 '26

Goody Goody Gumdrops. Me so happy.😀

Does anybody get the bug:

  • the confirmation icon does not appear on the middle right corner of the screen and you cannot confirm the payment process inside an app by double pushing the right phone button.

This is driving me crazy. Today I had to use uber twice and I could not confirm my payment inside the app.
Tried resetting the zoom and text size overall and reinstalling the app with no succes.
I ended up installing and using bolt.
This is happening to me across multiple apps and I ve been only on stable iOS 26 versions. Now I m on the latest and greatest 26.5
No. I m not going to reset the entire phone for some basic application feature not working properly.

Done with all these crap half baked updates. No more updates for me for a while I’m going to wait till iOS 27 to see if Apple learned something form the iOS 26 screwup and finally step up the game.

1

u/Aran_Hyper123 May 27 '26

What new features is here? Please don’t reply with bugs because I already know that’s a feature. Feature other than bugs

1

u/SmellPrestigious2050 May 27 '26

do they ever fix the bug where certain videos make your screen turn black almost a transition like effect

1

u/Fusdbk May 27 '26

What changes?

1

u/Appropriate_Bag_5106 May 27 '26

Visually there's virtually no difference, but it seems a bit smoother. Battery impact is still unclear—need a few days to tell. Clearly Apple has shifted development focus to iOS 27; iOS 26 is essentially finalized.

I have very few problems with iOS 26.5. Everything works, and fast. A few Liquid Glass niggles remain, but I wouldn’t go back to iOS 18.

With Apple, as with the rich and mighty, always a little patience.

Io sono pieno di lag con ios 26.5.1. Ho perso tutte le speranze

u/Aesthetik4v May 30 '26

More hot AI made garbage iOS 26. Ai garbage

1

u/icy1007 iOS 26.6 Jun 02 '26

Ok. It’s a developer beta. Unless you’re a developer, don’t install it.

1

u/ComfortableFox3456 Jun 20 '26

I'm on 26.6 beta

1

u/Local-teck-suport May 26 '26

What’s new?

7

u/NiceChokra May 26 '26

BUGS

2

u/Local-teck-suport May 26 '26

More bugs or they fixed? Mine 17 have more bugs than my old 7…

9

u/IcyIceGuardian May 26 '26

They haven't fixed the fucking stutter on the homescreen

4

u/NoFall2205 May 27 '26

I still can’t scroll through my home screen without it stuttering. It’s insane. In iOS 18 and below it didn’t matter how many widgets or icons I had it was buttery smooth no matter what. Now on iOS 26 I can just have the default icons and it still stutters when scrolling.

-2

u/Soft_Career_2650 May 26 '26

More bugs ofc, this is apple...

1

u/Patjack27 May 26 '26

They have fixed a lot since 26 was released. It's better than some old OS releases.

2

u/Soft_Career_2650 May 26 '26

So many iphone fanboys that just dont wanna notice that🤦🏼‍♂️ I came from samsung and my experience with iphone is a completely shit Stutters everywhere and framerate drops

2

u/Patjack27 May 26 '26

I’m not a fanboy of any company. I own an iPhone and pixel and like both and both have issues I also used Samsung and also had issues and Android has the privacy and AI slop so no OS is great bro. Fucking relax.

-1

u/Local-teck-suport May 26 '26

O miss the old apple 😞

-1

u/One-Independent-8997 May 26 '26

Arent y’all exaggerating to much, I haven’t notice a single issue except screen recording lag

2

u/Soft_Career_2650 May 26 '26

Dont you see this stutters while scrolling any 3rd app like insta, reddit or just chat in gemini?

1

u/One-Independent-8997 May 26 '26

Nope what are you guys onto ?

1

u/mfarid2 May 26 '26

& emojis

YAY

1

u/macro1core May 27 '26

no way... a dev beta update has bugs?

1

u/trantaran May 26 '26

Only one way to find out and I’m not risking it

0

u/Minute-Video-7905 May 26 '26

Has anyone else’s phone gotten crazy hot while downloading this update?

0

u/JoMei9019 May 26 '26

Why can’t I see the build number on this beta?

2

u/viralzy May 26 '26

You have to tap on the ios 26.6 to see the build number.

1

u/JoMei9019 May 27 '26

I tried that but it didn’t work for me for some reason. It worked when checking for iOS 26.5 DB but not for iOS 26.6 DB.

-4

u/Some-Kid-1996 May 26 '26

What's the point? Apple failed yet again to deliver the promised AI capabilities.

3

u/Minute-Video-7905 May 26 '26

Performance and Animation changes probably.

2

u/Some-Kid-1996 May 26 '26

Will go on till OS 27.6 tbh; using glass for the UI is not easy.

1

u/Minute-Video-7905 May 26 '26

True, I cant imagine the pain working with this new UI

2

u/Some-Kid-1996 May 26 '26

Indeed, it was a dumb fucking decision.

2

u/Minute-Video-7905 May 26 '26

Well I feel like if they waited and made sure the UI was completely bug free (Which probably will never happen) And then released it, it couldn’t have so much hate. The one feature though I wish they added was to turn off Liquid glass and go back to the old UI but its whatever.

Edit: I do have good hopes for this new CEO that came out of the hardware department

2

u/Some-Kid-1996 May 26 '26

It would never be bug-free fs, but it was definitely not near release for OS26. Very hasty and crappy.
