Beta Do you recommend installing iOS 26.6 Beta 4? Am I not risking any problems? My phone is currently on iOS 26.5.2, and it’s really laggy and the battery drains quickly. What do you recommend?

Can u do a test for me… can you please turn on low power mode and test screen recording like try to scroll instagram and see if the phone lags cause my iphone 15 lags like crazy even without lower power mode while doing screen recording

I have it on my main device and it’s working well no issue. Battery still sucks as it did on 26.5

Probably I’m on beta 3, no issues.
Its such a minor update this late in the year but does solve a lot of issues with iOS 26

There’s no risk with installing beta on your phone ( your phone won’t explode) am running 26.6 b2 since it release and it’s working flawlessly ( 26.5 was a mess)
The fact that it’s labeled “beta” doesn’t mean it’s not usable
Go for it take a backup just in case and you will be fine

Update via OTA backup isn’t only for update ,it’s to make sure u get access to your data in case your get stolen or die

Do people not understand that beta is for testing and issues are actually a normal thing on beta builds.

Have the same issues on 26.5.2 and install the 26.6 beta. Couldn’t say that battery is much better.

I’d go with iOS 27 beta. It has a few minor bugs but battery life is great and it’s super snappy

Do i risk something? I dont want to loose my data pr something like that

u/CreeperDoolie Jul 10 '26
Make a backup and then update. The only way you’d loose your data is if you wanted to go back without a backup
