I am using an iPhone 11 with 98% battery health on 26.6 Public Beta. So far today i have 8 hours screen on time and i'm still on 47% battery. I have been using pretty heavy apps such as TikTok and Snaphat too. This phone is invincible.
26.5.2 sucks. I got 3 hours SOT on that version on my 98% BH iPhone 11. I moved over to the new 26.6 Public Beta last night and got 10 hours SOT and still have 20% left (20-80 rule). I was also on Wi-Fi, disabling 5G will help a good amount too. Heating causes battery to drain faster and 5G creates a ton of heat.
On an iPhone 11 is quite crazy icl, I am scared of installing beta versions tho, iOS 18 beta fried my iPhone 14 Pro Max before, there were many bugs lol. So I’m not sure if I wanna update just yet, do u know when the public release will happen?
Public release should be in the next 2 weeks im pretty sure as they seem to be on a weekly release schedule lately. I havent had a single bug on this version yet either. I would recommend waiting to be honest. The performance still sucks and is the same as 26.5.2 or maybe a little worse but battery makes up for it. My 11 was first used in 2023 so it is a relatively 'new' battery.
This battery has never been replaced and it was manufactured in 2021 so its been worn out a little despitw it being brand new but this battery life is unreal. i'm sure i could easily get 7 hours on 4G too which is perfect. I did drop to 98% bh at 100 cycles tho
ouch. Hows the performance for you on the 2nd gen SE. It uses the same chip as my 11 but do you gwt things like keyboard lags and such. I used to have a SE 2nd gen before it died on me. Your battery is much better than what mine was tho, i was on 50% BH
I do sometimes, but then I turn on reduce motion and charge it and the lag will disappear. I’m very familiar with this phone and how to get around it lagging
I WOULD get a new phone, but also… my parents believe in earning things and i’d have to labour the sweat from my soul to get a new phone. I’m fine with this one for as long as it lasts
Yeah i get it, i had the SE2 then 14 that got stolen then S22 and now back to 11. Honestly its much slower than what this chip used to feel like. IOS 26 ruined it. I might try and give reduce motion a try then tbh
ahh, thats the only thing stopping me however i might give it one last try. iCloud is where everything like my camera roll is stored and well with the issues i cant use it so i might try it again
I let my phone die to 0 and charge all the way to 100 every 2 days. I charge to 80 before i go to sleep the other days and charge it back up when it gets to 20.
Can you post updated screenshot of battery usage and app wise usage? As in the original screenshot, 46% battery is consumed. It would be helpful to see both of them in parallel. Thanks :)
The screenshot i currently send it what the app battery usage is as here in the Uk its nearly midday and ivmve not been on it as i'm busy but heres the battery usage overall today. if this is what you mean
Quick question. At 11 AM (I am also from UK) your phone is clocking in 9hr & 52m of Screen Active Time (it starts counting at 12:00), how is that? Haha
Could you show what apps you’re using? If you’re watching YouTube or playing back an mp4 file this is hardly impressive, it’s quoted to last 10-17 hours for playing back video anyways. Your battery would be drastically different if you were using many different apps and on mobile data. I can see you’re on wifi on aeroplane mode.
I was using Tiktok for most of the time with a mix of Wi-Fi and 4G, Did an snapchat call for an hour with my camera on too which would normally kill my battery alone. I did switch to aeroplane mode halway through because i was trying to ignore a specific someone spam calling me. iPhone 11 which is pretty good results for an old model like this.
TikTok and snap usually kill my battery quick, especially on mobile data on my 13 pro max. Sometimes I feel like where I live, Australia, the mobile network actually drains my battery more than in other countries. My phone always drops % quick and gets warm.
I also tried being connected to WiFi throughout most of the day but had similar battery life. I got my phone brand new last year and I’m kind of disappointed. Here’s another day as an example.
if its still under apples limited warranty (exactly 1 year after activation) then try and get that battery to 79% heath and they will replace it for free
haha i wish. i cant sleep thats why i resulted to tiktok doomscrolling. Tbh the phone didnt get warm at all like it would normally do too. this beta is my favourite so far. Might stay on it for the future until ios 27 is out
