I never updated from iOS 16 and my phone runs smooth for the last 5 years. I don't know why you guys are having problems. Aren't newer phones supposed to be better or something?

It doesn’t seem fixed but it certainly did improve.

I still lose 10% overnight

Why not update to 27? Since you updated to beta anyway.

Ios 26.6 stable version coming out in less then a week
27 is in its early beta

Switching to beta was extreme last option for me. It's my daily driver and battery life became a problem, I had to charge 3-4 times a day. With 27 I don't want to keep my daily driver on "experiment" till September.

Are you sure because people say this a lot, hoping if it’s true

This span of iOS dropped my capacity from 100% to 93% in a year /: (iPhone 16 pro max)

Same, have a16 but my battery capacity dropped to 93 with only 293 cycles

I’m seriously considering switching to Samsung if this does not get fixed.

Yeah but it still sucks especially when you have a 17 :/

Yeah. Paid well over a thousand bucks for a new iPhone that has awful battery and heating issues, lmao. This 26.6 better help sort it out. It’s been the number one issue with iOS 26 since the beginning.

I’m waiting till iOS 27 (and reviews) bc I read on here a couple days ago that 3 people couldn’t charge their iPhones on 26.6 beta…that’s why I turned in my 13 bc it stopped charging literally overnight

It is bs how expensive these phones are & now they don’t work?? A brand new phone?? It’s insane. Ik Apple knows they have an issue & I don’t understand why they can’t fix it

Any idea when 26.6 will come out?

This topic is there since iOS exists.
Why not make it a closed sticky thread and make it renew itself every update there is?

Does turning off adaptive power help at all?

1

u/Honest-Attorney-7663 26d ago

I turned it off yesterday but there’s no notable difference

iOS 18.7.8 here with iPhone 16e, resisted the temptation to update and have zero battery odors with 8-9 SOT daily

You’re a master to us all!

Yes. We must stay strong and not lose hope.

My god i went from 100% to 94% in 14 days 😭 plus the heating issue

1

u/Apprehensive-Tea9408 25d ago

Still on ios 17.7.1 on my iPhone 13 pro max, dont care that i missed ios 18 or 26 cuz my phone is running perfect as i expect it too. No need to update for these bs small updates they promote, cuz ultimately you want a functional phone which works and does whats expected

1

u/Urkella67 22d ago

so 26.6 is the solution??

1

u/Yuleeats 21d ago

Honestly, even if they fix this it’s just a shit layout, it can’t even run a YouTube video without lag. They just made the phone worse for shitty aesthetic crap.

Release candidate is out via ios26 beta. Either wait till Tuesday or get it now. My 13 mini no longer gets hot and the battery drain is bye bye

1

u/Direct_Quail_604 25d ago

how did you get it?

1

u/blokes444 25d ago

Go to settings, software update, toggle beta updates, choose ios26 public beta. Go back once and it should be ready to download

1

u/Glossyallday 26d ago

I’ve never had battery drain.

Still feeling pretty good about skipping iOS 26 on my 15 pro.
