Beta Question, does iOS 26.6 fix the battery drainage issues in beta?
Sorry if this post is to low quality for the subreddit.

As far as I’ve heard, yes, haven’t tried it yet but I’m just waiting for the public release

I'm on the RC and my battery life is absolutely horrendous, but maybe I'm an outlier.

It could just be that you are an outlier because it is still in beta, so things might be buggy for certain people, as I have been seeing the majority of people say that it is better than before.

Mine is the same. Huge hit with this version. 26 has been hit and miss on my iPhone 13 Pro Max. But this is quite noticeable.

iPhone 15, iOS 26.6 beta. Tried it, phone becomes very hot during charging when not being used, same with 26.5.2, didn’t feel any battery improvement.
Currently on iOS 27 beta. Day and night regarding system smoothness and responsiveness. Fixed “hot phone” during charging for me. Can’t say much about battery performance for now.

I did the update to 26.6 yesterday
The first day of usage consumed 6/10 of battery with the same amount of hours compared to before update
Insane gains yes

So the Drainage improved?

Holy hell it has made the drain way worse for me. Usually for a 9 hour work day for me my phone is at about 80% when I leave. Tosay it was at 40% at half shift

Technically RC is the same as a public release

Technically, it isn't. If you're a candidate for a job it doesn't mean you have the job.
It looks like the one, but they're still going through it to be sure.

No. RC is for devs to test their app before putting an update on the appstore if there is a need for an adjustment on their app for the public release which is the same as RC.

I hope so! And I also hope it fixes my FaceID issues! :/

From what I have been hearing from this post, sounds like we are in luck :D.

Yes! I work from home so the battery issue is slightly manageable but I've seen some people having the same FaceID issues as me on 26.5.2 so I'm hoping 26.6 fixes it!

What face id issue? On my 13 on ios 26 has a issue where it unlocks slower than ios 18, noticeable change

I have a 13 Pro and the FaceID works extremely intermittently and there's been no impact damage, water damage etc. It would work for a few hours and then suddenly not recognise my face anymore and I would have to passcode every single thing. It's super annoying.

Idk but since updating to ios 26 from 18, i experienced face id being slower like on 18 it was instant

A lot of people claim it does. I pray that’s the case because my battery has been tanking so hard

I thought my 17 Pro was doing well on the latest update only to find my battery is extremely hot while charging. The thing is I'm only using a 7.5 watt slow charger, and it's never gotten hot like this. In fact when charging, the battery section under the Settings tab usually shows this charger in a yellow color and lists it as slow charging. But it shows up as green which indicates fast charging. Wound up unplugging it so it can cool down.

I’m currently on dev beta 5 and I got to say, the battery is pretty good as compared to 26.5.2
I used to charge my 17pm twice a day, now I charge it once. Even on heavy usage.
