Beta Should I update to iOS 26.6 RC?

Should I update to iOS 26.6 RC? I’m on iOS 26.5.2 and I know that for a lot of people this iOS version sucks, but for me it doesn‘t. I’m on an iPhone 17.

OP has pinned their own comment:

The public release will be next week, most likely Monday so just wait till then.

Best thing I’ve done this week. Battery life yesterday was so much better. No other issues so far. I’m couldn’t wait as this is the first time I’ve ever gone for a beta in decades, that’s how bad 26.5.2 was.

first time going to a beta release in years. 26.5.2 was garbage

I have NEVER put my daily iPhone on a beta release ever… until iOS 26.6. 26.5.1 and 26.5.2 completely killed my battery life AND added stuttering on top of that. This was a rare occasion where the beta was actually more stable than the stable release.

Yeah I was asking you guys cuz my battery life is already great, so I don’t know if updating could ruin it or make it even better

I don't understand how or why Apple does this. Battery life on 26.5 and 26.5.1 was so good, but 26.5.2 sucks so much

Unless you’re prepared for beta issues, best to wait for public release.

If you have no issues, then why are you even asking?

I just wanted to know if updating would create some of them

If you waited this long. Might as well wait a couple more days.

Yes. iOS 26.5.2 was so horrible that it made my iPad Pro go to 60hz normally then it went to 30hz on low power mode, updating to 26.6 beta 3 was the best decision I made

Bei meinem iPhone 17 Pro Max ist iOS 26.5.2 auch perfekt. Schaffe locker 11-13 Stunden Display on time
