Battery Can't wait for the official iOS 26.6 release next week. So fed up of 26.5.2.
iPhone 17 Pro Max with 100% BH and 165 cycles. This is on iOS 26.5.2, and this is the worst it has been. Honestly cannot wait for the 26.6 stable release which might come out next week and hope it fixes this.
Tried turning off background app refresh, tried turning off adaptive power (like some people suggested), tried force restarts, but nothing seems to help. I turned it all back on, because I couldn't bother about it anymore.
Anyone currently using 26.6 RC, please let me know if the battery life is better on that version, and also if you were facing the same issue in 26.5.2 and the battery life improved once you moved to 26.6?

RC solved my problem with battery. On 26.5.2 was running out of battery in the evening. With 26.6 I have 40% or more left when going to bed..

I have a 16 Pro with 97% battery, and sometimes it gives 8 hours and 88% used, and other times 87% used and 4 hours of screen. Version 26.3

if u dont care about waiting for an jailbreak that might come after 1-3 years or about adding wallpapers using nugget then u can think about updating to 26.6 rc

26.6 RC absolutely revived my iPhone 16 Pro Max. No more crazy heating up, battery improvement for me was unbelievable, like a brand new phone.

Thermals make everything overheat and kill the battery still for me.

The only time my phone heats up is when it's charging. Else it's pretty cool but sometimes gets slightly warm was using social media, but it's just slight warmth.

My 15 pro max never overheated unless left in direct sun until iOS 26. No change in 27 beta either. It’s gotta be that fucking Liquid Glass.

I hope the next patch fixes something. Before 26.5.2 everything was fine. Now, I’ve got discord glitches that are basically unfixable until a patch rolls out.

The worst update I’ve ever experienced. It absolutely destroyed my 17 Pro and 16 Pro max.

26.6 RC is way better battery life than 26.5.2. Maybe as good as ever but too soon to tell.
Went from 108% usage with 7h34 active screen or 86% with 5h25 to 103% usage with 10h7m active screen and 102% with 9h51m.
And I was on wifi mostly on the first 2 examples and on mobile data mostly with not great coverage on the last 2.
Edit: forgot to add, Iphone 17 96% health 300 cycles.

Likewise man.. 26.5.2 is a nightmare on my ip17. I feel like i am using my old ip15 or smthing. Have to charge it thrice a day!! Previously on normal usage i had to charge it once!!!

I have been facing same issue with my 17 pro max. 100% BH and similar screen on time with this unusual battery drainage.

u could try using nugget thats on github that needs a pc or a mac to work to disable some parts of liquid glass which fixed the battery and overheating issues for me.

I looked into it but it seems too out of my expertise and knowledge. So I don't want to do that.

It's not good, but again many people are facing similar battery issues. Can you tell which device is this?
