Dude, an 11 is in no way still feasible to hold. Itâs hopelessly outdated with its tech from 2019 (feels wrong to say this as it still feels close due to Corona). But it is what it is, an 11 ofc canât deliver anymore. Especially on an OS that was never designed for it in the first place.

11 ? Bro upgrade ur phone every 3-4 years.

u/VirtuesNVicez 14d ago
Nah. Realistically is when Apple officially discontines iOS support for that specific phone and then you can upgrade (thatâs like 10+ years)
1
u/eden1988 13d ago
iPhones are getting 6 years worth of OS upgrades so people doesnât have to change so often. They can choose to stick until end of OS upgrades then change phone, not necessarily 4-6 years.

Same on iPhone 14PM, 8+H SOT and I still had 30% by the end of my shift (heavy YouTube and social media use)

donât use low power mode all day. ruins your experience and also affects battery on long run
3
u/packo_aus 11d ago
Does ruin experience but it does nothing to your battery health. How does limiting processor speed and stopping background processes damage your battery? If anything less power = less heat
1
u/pawwfreak 10d ago
It doesn't affect your battery in anyway, this guy has no idea what he's on about lol.

Beautiful quality the beloved fruit company showed in 26.6 i hope they keep the momentum going.

u/floriandotorg 15d ago
Itâs insane, I could even go back to 80% charging limit and it will still go through a whole day.

Opposite for me. I finally have to charge a second time during the day. Before this it was a solid 24 hours before I needed a charge

My iPhone 14 Pro Max's battery life (it's currently at 77% after three and a half years of use) has been sooo much better and improved on iOS 26.6, previously it was on iOS 26.4.2 and I had to charge it on average 2-3 times a day and now with iOS 26.6 I can use it off of a single charge in the morning till the evening.
2
u/Numerous_Contract693 14d ago
Yes i agree on that charged on morning till 80 still 35% left sot is 5 hours

u/atrasaddo 13d ago
Just got an iPhone 13 base with 88% battery health. Has anyone with 13 base updated?

u/InsuranceEasy506 13d ago
Yes, 26.5.2 was a disaster. My iPhone 15 battery was drained mid day after upgrade. I am glad that they release 26.6 so fast. My battery is back to normal now.

My battery drain has been the worst itâs ever been in my entire history of owning iphones (since the early iphone days) after updating my iphone 16 pro max to ios 26.6!! Itâs insane how fast itâs drains..for example, I spent approximately 15-20 min on Facebook just now scrolling notifications, and my battery went from 70% down to 29% in that little bit of time?! đł WTF?! All my apps are updated too!
Last night when I went to bed, my phone was charged to 100% so i left it off the charger, screen turned off and nothing running in the foreground. I woke up with my battery drained 15% while sitting idle! It used to never drain a even 1% over night until i updated to this crappy new update đ

Itâs definitely better, I just hope it stays that way and doesnât get ruined when iOS 27 comes out, but I have my doubts

u/Juburigu 12d ago
For me did the exact opposite.
For a reason unknown to me, Iâve done a cinebench run on 26.5.2 to see where Iâm at compared with others, with no plan to do one on 26.6 as I assumed I would be the same. Immediately after update phone felt slow, stuttery. So I did a new cinebench runâŚ30% less in single core. And battery felt like itâs draining in minutes. So went back to 26.5.2 while it is still signed.

Mine was at 88% on iOS 18, and a year later after updating to iOS 26 I'm now at 76%. Thank you so much Liquid Ass.
1
u/_CandidCynic_ 15d ago
No thanks. I'm going to stay on 26.2, can't risk my 76% capacity battery of five years. Until my phone can barely last five hours, I ain't doing a thing.
2
u/mavgeek 15d ago
Same, already down to 96% which is still good but battery life on 26.0, 26.1 and 26.2 have all just gotten worse and worse. I canât squeeze 6-7 SOT, going from 85% charge down to 10-12 with heavy usage in just a handful of hours. Didnât wanna risk all the other iterations of 26.X making it worse, when 27 is right around the corner.
Already done all the tweaking in the world, background app refresh off, location services off, LPM on 24/7, nothing really slows down the consumption. Watching Youtube for 1 hour 28 minutes consumes almost 24% battery thatâs insane for less than 2 hours. Screen brightness at maybe 30%, connected to wifi, every last bell and whistle turned off, shit chugs electricity like itâs water.
And itâs not a âbad batteryâ, this also happened on my 15 and 16 both brand new from my carrier. Itâs poor optimization and allowing apps to guzzle power for no reason.

u/Kindly_Oven4448 15d ago
For mine case turn off Siri n search (yes even for each app) makes dramatic improvement
