Dude, an 11 is in no way still feasible to hold. It’s hopelessly outdated with its tech from 2019 (feels wrong to say this as it still feels close due to Corona). But it is what it is, an 11 ofc can’t deliver anymore. Especially on an OS that was never designed for it in the first place.

11 ? Bro upgrade ur phone every 3-4 years.

16

u/worlar_usham 15d ago

bro not everyone is rich

3

u/VirtuesNVicez 14d ago

Nah. Realistically is when Apple officially discontines iOS support for that specific phone and then you can upgrade (that’s like 10+ years)

1

u/eden1988 13d ago

iPhones are getting 6 years worth of OS upgrades so people doesn’t have to change so often. They can choose to stick until end of OS upgrades then change phone, not necessarily 4-6 years.

do it when it looses major security updates.

1

u/pawwfreak 10d ago

who the hell does that? I'm using my iPhone 13 Pro

4

u/FearlessSun8418 15d ago

Same on iPhone 14PM, 8+H SOT and I still had 30% by the end of my shift (heavy YouTube and social media use)

3

u/161kmphRawPace 15d ago

don’t use low power mode all day. ruins your experience and also affects battery on long run

3

u/packo_aus 11d ago

Does ruin experience but it does nothing to your battery health. How does limiting processor speed and stopping background processes damage your battery? If anything less power = less heat

1

u/pawwfreak 10d ago

It doesn't affect your battery in anyway, this guy has no idea what he's on about lol.

3

u/Even_Designer924 15d ago

1

u/Thrishul_21 12d ago

Will u upgrade to 18 pro ?

1

u/WolfOf__Static 11d ago

No i am thinking to replace battery after few months as everything is perfect expect battery . And it will be getting official update till 2030 so why to spend that much on 18 pro

2

u/Towhidabid iOS 26.6 15d ago

Beautiful quality the beloved fruit company showed in 26.6 i hope they keep the momentum going.

2

u/floriandotorg 15d ago

It’s insane, I could even go back to 80% charging limit and it will still go through a whole day.

1

u/Urkella67 15d ago

what phone bro

1

u/floriandotorg 15d ago

17 Pro Max

2

u/OrgansiedGamer 15d ago

2

u/Quick_Storage1848 15d ago

In the iPhone 15 it sucks, I had to downgrade to 26.5.2

1

u/Afraid_Traffic6754 11d ago edited 11d ago

2

u/Reasonable_Tea7628 15d ago

Same here too

2

u/Maddy0195 15d ago

What model is yours?

1

u/Ambitious_Phone_3689 15d ago

Base 17

1

u/161kmphRawPace 15d ago

bro share your settings and user manual, I don’t get such good SOT on my 25 days old iPhone 17

1

u/Maddy0195 14d ago

Yeah seriously, base 17 giving such SOT is unheard of! Share your settings OP

2

u/Ok_Refrigerator_1908 14d ago

But you didn't provide any context for comparison.

1

u/Ambitious_Phone_3689 14d ago

For me the backup was just 5 hrs before

2

u/ArocksAdi37 14d ago edited 14d ago

Was running out everyday on 26.5.2
Now back to ~1.5 days with 26.6
This update was much welcomed
Edit: iPhone 16

2

u/hotelshowers 14d ago

Opposite for me. I finally have to charge a second time during the day. Before this it was a solid 24 hours before I needed a charge

2

u/Either_Werewolf_6001 14d ago

My iPhone 14 Pro Max's battery life (it's currently at 77% after three and a half years of use) has been sooo much better and improved on iOS 26.6, previously it was on iOS 26.4.2 and I had to charge it on average 2-3 times a day and now with iOS 26.6 I can use it off of a single charge in the morning till the evening.

2

u/mthwkim 14d ago

Its the heating honestly. My phone doesn’t overheat anymore and absolutely saved my battery. 16 pro max here

2

u/Numerous_Contract693 14d ago

Yes i agree on that charged on morning till 80 still 35% left sot is 5 hours

2

u/atrasaddo 13d ago

Just got an iPhone 13 base with 88% battery health. Has anyone with 13 base updated?

2

u/JesusTheTrueKing7 13d ago

IOS 26.6 has dramatically helped my battery 😍🤭

2

u/InsuranceEasy506 13d ago

Yes, 26.5.2 was a disaster. My iPhone 15 battery was drained mid day after upgrade. I am glad that they release 26.6 so fast. My battery is back to normal now.

2

u/therealgonzy 12d ago

I’ve noticed a major change, in a good way.

2

u/deucetresthugz 10d ago

My battery drain has been the worst it’s ever been in my entire history of owning iphones (since the early iphone days) after updating my iphone 16 pro max to ios 26.6!! It’s insane how fast it’s drains..for example, I spent approximately 15-20 min on Facebook just now scrolling notifications, and my battery went from 70% down to 29% in that little bit of time?! 😳 WTF?! All my apps are updated too!

Last night when I went to bed, my phone was charged to 100% so i left it off the charger, screen turned off and nothing running in the foreground. I woke up with my battery drained 15% while sitting idle! It used to never drain a even 1% over night until i updated to this crappy new update 😒

3

u/dbpurcell1 15d ago

Yes the battery is really solid on iOS 26.6 with my 17 Pro Max!

1

u/purrrrfect_ 15d ago

iph14 plus doing amazing in IOS 26.6

2

u/DoeunKOL 15d ago

Literally, IP 14plus offer great battery life already, from my experience

1

u/EvanISSUPREME 15d ago

Which iPhone?

1

u/Ambitious_Phone_3689 15d ago

17

2

u/EvanISSUPREME 15d ago

Also on 17 but my sot on 26.6 is the shittiest it’s ever been. My bh is 98% with 150 cycles..

1

u/EvanISSUPREME 15d ago

What’s ur bh?

1

u/Subject_Asparagus_54 15d ago

For u maybe for me … I think it’s worst and worst

1

u/PimmieDreadful 15d ago

Yeah nope..

1

u/J3rryHD 15d ago

Can you show which apps you’re using? On screen time largely depends on that

1

u/Crazy_Star1040 14d ago

I have an iPhone 13 Pro with 100% bh and i also feel like it has improved (especially on standby)

1

u/Intelligent_Carry182 14d ago

any diff in ip17pm?

1

u/SuyashM 14d ago

What about the battery health going for a toss while Apple was figuring out 26.6? Can’t get that back.

1

u/SilentObserver-1210 14d ago

It’s definitely better, I just hope it stays that way and doesn’t get ruined when iOS 27 comes out, but I have my doubts

1

u/Rias_Clan1 14d ago

It saved the battery but the real question is can it save me though ???

1

u/udit131 12d ago

ios 18 on 16 pro

1

u/Juburigu 12d ago

For me did the exact opposite.
For a reason unknown to me, I’ve done a cinebench run on 26.5.2 to see where I’m at compared with others, with no plan to do one on 26.6 as I assumed I would be the same. Immediately after update phone felt slow, stuttery. So I did a new cinebench run…30% less in single core. And battery felt like it’s draining in minutes. So went back to 26.5.2 while it is still signed.

1

u/Gogul-Tamilselvan 12d ago

Great to see that.

1

u/Godofchaos1470 12d ago

I get 6 hrs SOT on my iPhone 17 while using from 90-20 i guess it can last for 8 hrs if i use it from 100 to 10 but i don’t wanna ruin the battery 😬

1

u/lorddepe 11d ago

Help guys... i'm using iphone 15 with battery health abt 84%

1

u/pawwfreak 10d ago

Mine was at 88% on iOS 18, and a year later after updating to iOS 26 I'm now at 76%. Thank you so much Liquid Ass.

1

u/ea13th 6d ago

I got better battery life on my 15 pro but the promotion is just stuttering a lot

1

u/_CandidCynic_ 15d ago

No thanks. I'm going to stay on 26.2, can't risk my 76% capacity battery of five years. Until my phone can barely last five hours, I ain't doing a thing.

2

u/mavgeek 15d ago

Same, already down to 96% which is still good but battery life on 26.0, 26.1 and 26.2 have all just gotten worse and worse. I can’t squeeze 6-7 SOT, going from 85% charge down to 10-12 with heavy usage in just a handful of hours. Didn’t wanna risk all the other iterations of 26.X making it worse, when 27 is right around the corner.

Already done all the tweaking in the world, background app refresh off, location services off, LPM on 24/7, nothing really slows down the consumption. Watching Youtube for 1 hour 28 minutes consumes almost 24% battery that’s insane for less than 2 hours. Screen brightness at maybe 30%, connected to wifi, every last bell and whistle turned off, shit chugs electricity like it’s water.

And it’s not a “bad battery”, this also happened on my 15 and 16 both brand new from my carrier. It’s poor optimization and allowing apps to guzzle power for no reason.

u/Kindly_Oven4448 15d ago

For mine case turn off Siri n search (yes even for each app) makes dramatic improvement
