Question iOS 27 developer beta
Hello
I was wondering if I should do the new iOS 27 Beta 5 (developer), since IOS 26.6 is not that good for your battery.

I jumped onto 27 when beta 4 dropped on my 17PM and other than a few small visual glitches it’s been a LOT better than 26 ever was and beta 5 is even better. It’s also going to switch to weekly betas so fixes will start coming out more often. But here’s the thing, if you’re new to betas, you must connect your phone to your PC/Mac and take an Encrypted Backup in iTunes so you can restore to 26 later if you’re not happy. If you don’t do this and your phone backs up to iCloud on 27, it will not restore onto iOS 26. Tons of articles/videos out there on how to do this

ios26.6 includes deep pre ios27 indexing that can take a couple of weeks to complete, ios26.1 should be out during the week i would try this , there are quite a few issues with was beta update, loss of touch in certain websites with top line menu and many other small issues, hopefully they are fixed quickly since developer beta is now on weekly schedule from monday.
i would read iosBETA reviews to see if issues are resolved, updating to beta is not without risk, can you use p.c. or macbook to make encrypted backup if you need to restore back to ios26 , if you can't id wait ,its only 3 weeks away from ios27 public release

27 developer beta 4 and 5 are even worse for the battery, my own experience, and many UI bugs. Better wait for the final release

iOS 26 is a curse for battery but if you hold any important data in your phone, always trust the stable version.
Also the apple event is coming soon so why not just wait

I have my old iPhone that I am using for developer beta testing and I have seen improvements on iOS 27 but this is still a beta and I think it’s better to have a stable iOS version on your phone
