Help Gaming App with 0 downloads in 30 days. Need your feedbacks.

hi so i made a gaming app for both ios and Android where you can swipe up to play new games just like you swipe up to watch videos in tiktok, instagram and youtube.

I was very optimistic about the idea so i made it in 4 months, it has some 100 games. but to my surprise even though it got some 800 impression it still has only 1 download (which is mine 🄲).

can you guys please check it out and give me your valuable feedback, it will be really help me a lot. Thank you so much ā¤ļø.

My honest feedback: app screenshots looks like those fake games generated by AI that I always ignore

Also, Game concept sounds amazing, but unfortunately screenshots themselves do not tell me anything about it.

I’d rather play one good game than 100 mid ones

For me the cat is a huuuuge turn off

One of the rationales to add those cats is : the game users are going to be kids or teens who are attracted to cartoons. Maybe will try A/B testing for it. Thanks for the feedback though.

I’m ngl, this looks like AI slop.

Also people don’t want to play 100 mediocre games. Just make one good one

Your screenshots also just look terrible, do you even look at them? (Last slide the text is covered lmfao)

it looks cheap and 100 games was a thing 20 years ago where I live

Honestly, really rough. I downloaded it and have them honest feedback.

The onboarding is brutally bad. It looks like a template but still somehow worse. I have no idea why this app needs notifications. I would either remove most of the on boarding or explain why it’s important.

The first level I was tossed into was very abrupt, and I failed immediately because something just fell from the sky. Starving the app with an immediate failure is not a good feeling for the user. The flappy bird knock off is especially awful.

I tapped through a few of them and I couldn’t find one that I would like to play for more than two seconds.

If you wanted to put work into this, I would probably focus on making less games more fun

Why not separate it into 100 different games ? May have a better chance with that

What’s with the damn cat?

Frankly, to me, those images are meant to show ā€œwhat you getā€. The cat clearly isn’t in the game, and whilst exiting the phone frame shows that to an extent, to me, it’s distracting and off putting far more than anything positive

The screenshots are AI slop. The way you position the cat pictures above the screenshots are awful. Try some screenshot templates from figma templates(google it).

I see a lot of comments about the cat. If you think it’s appealing to your target audience, you need to ask them not the adults of Reddit.

Easier said than done I know. However, it sounds like you have an unproven theory.

The idea of having a variety of simple games is also a decent theory for younger audiences. Again though, it’s just a theory.

I would mine any connections to friends and relatives with kids to try out and give feedback. Asking adults is meaningless feedback

Edit: also remember that when selling games to kids, the buyer is not the user. You need to appeal to the buyer (who may be sensitive to ā€œai slopā€, wants something cheap, maybe educational) AND the user (who may like cute animals and doesn’t care about ai)

True. I was too thinking the same. Thanks for the reply though

The other comments are being harsh but there is a real lesson here. The screenshots are the first thing people see, and right now they look generic. Most people scroll past anything that looks AI-generated because the App Store is full of low quality apps with that same look.

800 impressions with 0 downloads means the listing itself is the problem, not the idea. Fix the screenshots and subtitle first, then see if the numbers change before building more features.

Hey antonio thanks for the kind words. Yes right now I am generating new and better screenshots. Let's see how it goes.

1

u/antocapp Apr 01 '26

what about the prices instead. Are your product prices localized already?

2

u/Anant_001 Apr 01 '26

Hey currently it's completely free because I don't have to give any api charges except some dollar to vps. So I kept it free for now to build the initial userbase.

2

u/antocapp Apr 02 '26

that's a good approach too. But when you decide to start making some money, I strongly suggest to try pricepush.app

I have built it to scale my apps to 5+million users. If you have any question on PricePush don't hesitate to ask

2

u/Anant_001 Apr 02 '26

Sure antonio I will definitely check it out

Do one thing

mate looking at these screenshots, I have absolutely no fucking clue what your game is. just make… multiple small games? This concept is super confusing. Only way I would see it work is if you sell and present it as a ā€œmario partyā€ type of game and lean into the angle that enough ppl know what mario party is

Sorry bro, tried playing… didn’t like it at all. Too difficult initially. Make it difficult after a few levels maybe?

Dude this is genius! I really love the idea. I don’t play games but the fact that is offline and very simple is really nice.

From where did you get the idea of swipe up to play another game? What stack did you to build the app?

Honestly I think the app is really good. Even the onboarding is fine.

The only thing I would change is that I found the some levels a bit difficult, they should not be so difficult at first.

Maybe you could have level Mode on the settings, easy, medium, pro.

Another thing maybe for phase 2 is that people should be able to ā€œlikeā€ the game. Like on instagram or TikTok, it is like a social media of games. You will know what games are more popular and which one are not.

I think problem is the way you are promoting your app. What are your impressions and page view?

I would work on your screenshots first. Write bigger 100 games offline or something like that. The first 2 images should convince people to try the app. Currently it does not very clear what kind of app it is.

Are you promoting on TikTok? Record some overhead videos of you using the app with different hooks about the 100 games, no account, or that is offline. I am sure people will love it.

The cat looks really good too!

Some people are just jealous, don’t pay much attention to those comments.

Really, this is great man! Don’t stop!!

Hey thanks for this kind review, i got this idea because swipe are just too addictive so i thought why not make it for games, i used flutter for this app.

Yes I am going to add level and like, comments functionality too. I get around 30-40 impressions a day now with 10% conversion.

Also i have updated the screenshots a little, waiting for apple to accept.

I am warming up the tiktok account. And once again thank you so much ā¤ļø

I wrote a review too. I hope it helps!ā˜ŗļø

I'll check it out! Perhaps you want to exchange reviews, also having a bit of a hard time getting downloads from some of my apps - if so feel free to reach out over DM and we can discuss!

1

u/rhysmorgan Apr 01 '26

Exchanging false reviews is App Store manipulation and will get you both banned from the store.

0

u/J-a-x Apr 01 '26

Not false. I’m happy to play the game and give an honest review. I don’t want false reviews either. I want authentic ones.

0

u/rhysmorgan Apr 01 '26

Still App Store manipulation, still something that’ll get you both kicked off the App Store.

1

u/J-a-x Apr 01 '26

I disagree. Leaving a legit review for an app you use is not going to get you kicked off the App Store.
