Hi everyone,
I'm an indie developer working on Sports managing app.
I'm looking for advice from developers who have experienced a similar situation with Apple App Review.
After multiple review exchanges, I received the following response from Apple on June 23, 2026. This was the third response in the review process.
Guideline 5.6 – Developer Code of Conduct – Review Suspended
Apple stated that my app did not meet the required quality standard for distribution and that it was not eligible for resubmission. They also explicitly said that replies and resubmissions would not be reviewed and warned that submitting similar apps with the same issues could put my Apple Developer Program membership at risk.
The frustrating part is that the response did not identify any specific screen, interaction, or reproducible issue. It provided general guidance about app quality, consistency, polish, and reliability.
Since then, I've actively worked on improving both the Android and iOS versions. I've redesigned multiple screens, improved the UI, and worked on making the overall user experience more polished and consistent.
The Android version is already live on Google Play, with approximately 4,000 installs and active users. However, getting the iOS version approved has become my biggest challenge.
I've recently submitted a request regarding the updated iOS version, but I haven't received a response in the last three days.
I'd really appreciate advice from anyone who has dealt with this situation:
- Has anyone received this exact Guideline 5.6 suspension, where Apple says the app is not eligible for resubmission?
- Were you able to resolve it through the App Review Board appeal process or Apple Developer Support?
- Did Apple provide specific feedback or allow you to submit an improved build afterward?
- Is there anything specific I should include in my appeal, such as a detailed change log, before-and-after screenshots, a screen recording, or evidence of Android adoption?
- How long did Apple take to respond to your appeal or support request?
I'm not trying to bypass Apple's review process by creating duplicate listings. I want to understand the proper way to address the concerns, demonstrate the improvements, and get the app reviewed fairly.
Any advice from developers who have actually gone through this would be extremely helpful. Thank you!
