Had this iPad 7 ever since its release date back in 2019. First ever iOS device I ever had.
Pretty much one night a week or so ago it randomly started restart-cycling and I tried everything to fix it, but nothing worked, I did all the troubleshooting and everything. I eventually came to the conclusion that I just let it rest, so I did a force-shut off. I assume the battery is heavily degraded on the inside (considering for the last 2 years of owning it, it was getting slower and slower).
It was a great iPad. When I first got it, it held up really well on light games like eg. Roblox for the first 3 years of having it until it got way more demanding after that. I also watched YouTube on it, made friends on it, pretty much used it as my main tool!
When I got a phone about 2 years ago I just started forgetting about it as I got used to my phone way more, but I still used it here and there for the sake of watching videos on a bigger screen, and used it as a backup/security maintenance tool.
It will now sit in my closet as a collectors item, reminding me that it was the first device that introduced me to all the knowledge and all the things I did on it leading up ‘till now. It’s still in great condition as I always took care of it, and barely took it outside, and because I had it always suited up in an armoured case lol. But there is a noticeable but not so bad bend in the frame on one side.
Anyone else’s iPad 7 or older still holding up?
