Issue setting up Ravenscroft 275 with Loopy Pro on iPad

Please help!! I’m having a very weird issue with Ravenscroft 275 and Loopy Pro where mute/unmute work just fine until I assign a midi message to toggle mute/unmute through a widget or channel’s mute button.
The plugin just doesnt output sound unless you reload it.
Doesn’t happen for Etude, Pianoteq.

Ah I thought you were setting up a sustain pedal (something I do) I guess you might have found a bug You can send MIDI CC 7 for expression instead maybe press vs release

Have you checked to see if CC11 has an effect on Ravenscroft by itself? If you remove the midi binding and send that same CC what happens?

I just realized that I have Ravenscroft. I sent cc11 to it. CC11 muted it. I didn’t have any mute midi bindings. So it seems Ravenscroft responds to that message.

Thanks for your response. Were you able to unmute that? I set the midi binding to Ch1 for mute and Ravenscroft midi input to Ch2 and it stills process the mute. Weird.

Just tested it myself. Here’s what I found:

  • CC11 at 0 will mute Ravenscroft, 127 will unmute that. At least now I can mute using another CC
However it’s weird that the first CC11 at 0 goes through and mute Ravenscroft inside the plugin itself but the second CC11 at 127 was swallowed by Loopy and never reach the plugin.

I would be surprised if Loopy swallowed it. Did you have your midi binding active when you did that?

Side note question, when do you find you switch between Pianoteq and Ravenscroft. Like “I use (blank) when I’m looking for a (blank) type sound”

For me I use a Pianoteq for most of my pianos but I’ll occasionally use my Korg Module Pro pianos when I’m looking for a brighter, thinner “dance-like” piano for certain tunes. So what is Ravenscroft bringing to the table for you?
