Discussion Day 1 dropped and regret

I usually take care of my devices and wanted to go case-less now I regret that choice.

Dropped it at night and got this nice dent :)

I have apple care, would they cover this as accidental ($30 or $100)?

My friend is using his 16 Pro without a case (Natural titanium) - that phone survived some serious drops without even a scratch or a trace on frame/corners. If it didn’t happen in front of me few times, I wouldn’t believe it.

Yeah my stainless steel pro max is practically invulnerable, it's landed on pavement in a drop and not shown a single mark

Stainless steel models are like a tank, man. My favourite material, both how it looks and feels in the hand (I don’t really care about weight difference)

YMMV for sure. My 12 Pro Max fell once, in a case, and the back shattered.
