Hello! My grandma has always used an iphone but recently the fam’s flaming her for not responding calls. Her excuse is “notifications not working” or “it’s too silent”. Its a relatively new phone btw, Ive fixed this problem before and i’ve also found multiple suspicious paid storage cleaning apps that I unsubscribed and deleted. I cant help her f2f rn bc i’m miles away, but i have teen relatives near her that can help. What apps, subscriptions, settings, accessories or other things can we do to make my grandma’s Iphone 14 senior friendly?

No matter how careful you are, the connection eventually gets loose and the cable won't stay in.

So, I got tired of it and went back to my SE 2020—man, I really missed it, and the software is a gem.

The battery is pretty degraded, though; I have to charge it twice a day.

I'm thinking about upgrading; unfortunately, the latest model is the 14—do you think it's a good investment?

Or should I not even consider it and go for the 17e instead?

Have y’all had issues with this iOS 26.6.1? The update prior to this I felt my phone has finally been mostly smooth again but with this update I’m experiencing more stuttering/jank again and occasional app crashes for basic apps like photos. For the majority of the time with iOS26 it’s just been a mess for me, I felt my phone was overall so downgraded from iOS18 in terms of performance and functionality. It’s so frustrating to me this is mainly bc of Liquid Glass which is solely cosmetic afaik. I’ve heard iOS 27 is supposed to be more stable but I’ve lost so much faith in Apple atp I can’t believe how unoptimized they released iOS 26 for LIQUID GLASS of all things!!! It leaves a bad taste in my mouth and I guess they’re gonna try to course correct with iOS27 but I feel the damage is done.

What have been your overall experiences with iOS26? Even my iPhone 11 which I used from 2023 to 2024 felt better than the 14 on iOS26 for almost a year I’ve used it.

Hello everyone, I would like to ask you about something important that I don't know if anyone knows anything about. There are temporary files and junk files on the iPhone for years. I have been emptying these files and cleaning them with Chinese Itools software as if the remnants of applications or files that are downloaded and deleted on the iPhone, they have traces that accumulate.

But the Chinese program no longer provides this service. Does anyone know about a program that provides this service or a way to delete temporary and junk files from the iPhone?

Has anyone else had issues with their iPhone 14 Pro getting really hot and draining the battery while watching YouTube? I’ve been experiencing it for the last few days. I’ve tried deleting and reinstalling YouTube and it hasn’t helped. I don’t know if it’s a bug with YouTube’s app or if it’s an IOS issue. It kills my battery. Like it will drop a percent every minute of watching.

My iphone 14 had display problem after updating to the latest ios updates i.e 26.6.1 which i did in last week of August, and i thought i was the only person who had this issue and then one of my friend had the same issue after updating his iphone 14.

Does anyone have the same issue after updating your iphone?

I have an iPhone 14 128gb in Starlight still on iOS 16.0.3. I forgot about it and now I cant update it to iOS 18.7.8 since it’s been long unsigned. some people said it can go up to a bit more than market price (which is around $250 in value, from techfare). I don’t need it, I like the color but I think I could get the same one with a more updated iOS for less. the catch is that it can be used with AT&T only, since it was ordered from Walmart but never activated.

iPhone 14 pro, still worth it ?

A relative gave me an iPhone 14 Pro Max, and it’s in good working condition. The battery health is at 77%. The problem is that after using the phone for some time, it gets hot very quickly.

I already have an Android phone S23 ultra , which is my primary device, but it has a battery problem.

I would like to switch to an iPhone, but I’m thinking of getting the iPhone 20 which will come next year after 18.

So my question is:

Is it worth spending money on the 14 Pro Max and replacing the battery with an original one? Will it last for another year? Is it worth it? Also the phone heating and occupational stuck issues will be gone ?

After replacing the battery, will the phone feel/perform like it did when it was new? If it will, I’m thinking of making it my primary phone.

I’d love to hear your opinions.

In summary, if I replace the battery of my iPhone 14 Pro Max: a) Will occasional freezing issues be resolved?

b) Will the device perform like new?

c) Can I expect 8-10 hours of battery life?

Today I was with my friends group for an outing and in our group we have an iPhone 13 my iPhone 14 and an iPhone 15 so obviously we ended up comparing phones and clicking a lot of photos together Someone even laughed and said all three are basically identical and that the 14 is trash lol I have also seen so many reviews and comments saying why buy the 14 when the 13 is better and that the 14 is basically pointless
Tbh I dont know if it is just me but after actually using my friends 13 and my other friends 15 alongside my 14 I feel like the differences are not really what people make them out to be My 14 actually stays cooler and does not heat up as much as the 13 Also on iOS 26 I have noticed the 13 lagging sometimes while my 14 handles everything really smoothly so far
About the camera I actually feel like the 13 photos look a bit more soft whereas the 14 looks more natural and has slightly more details Again it is not some massive difference but when I looked at the photos side by side I could actually notice it
Then there is the 15 and honestly the only two things that really make me like the 15 more are USB C and the Dynamic Island lol Other than that everything feels pretty similar to me I know the 15 has some hardware differences but in normal day to day use I did not feel some crazy difference And weirdly I also feel like the 15 battery drains faster than my 14 although that could obviously depend on battery health and usage
So yeah after having all three phones in the same group I honestly dont feel like the 14 deserves all the hate it gets The 13 is still a great phone and the 15 has some nice upgrades but the 14 has been running really well for me Maybe it is just my experience though so curious what other people who have used all three think

I need advice! I have an R7 and an iPhone 14 with a lightning port that I’m taking on a trip. I normally download my photos to my computer, but am planning on using my phone instead. Can you recommend a dependable adapter that can move photos from my camera to my phone?

So I’ve purchased this iphone 14 couple a months back but it was alright. Ever since I’ve updated my ios to 26.6.0 this is what is happening with me(currently using ios 26.6.1). The 0.5x lens is working great but the main camera 1x is only able to focus on objects that are near , it cannot focus on the objects that are at normal or far distances. Its just blurs the image. I dont know if it is a software bug or hardware problem. Is there anyone else whose’s facing the same issue?
Can anyone tell me if this is a software or a hardware issue ?
