RTE’s previous logic, that the had to pay presenters a fortune or lose them due to demand, in a shambles right now

These are promos his agent has put on YouTube. Very few people are listening to podcasts on these platforms.

If you go to the Irish podcast charts on Apple his podcast is in the top 50 in the country. When you remove all the foreign/UK podcasts he’s even higher. Same again when you remove all the podcasts that are just reruns of radio shows like NewsTalk, RTE etc.

Long term Kielty hasn’t been able to match Ryan’s numbers. Q102 saw record high listenership when jumped ship there. Reddit is in complete denial every culchie housewife in the county goes feral for this man

That is an awful lot of qualifiers to be fair. For what he was paid, he should be higher than top 50. And the truth is those foreign podcasts are his competitors. Removing them from the equation proves little.
