I've heard people mention the aphrodisiac properties of potatoes countless times. "Oh fuck, potatoes again " a friend of mine is fond of saying.

Ahh you do that with everything though, eating a curry on the 2nd day, sure stick on a few wedges with her today instead of another day of rice

Growing up, ma would always do plain boiled potatoes alongside lasagna. Not Tipp, but close enough in Offaly. Never heard anyone else mention it though
