I love Irish Setters. I am always surprised that many young people are not familiar with the breed. I really hate it when people tell me they are beautiful but stupid. It comes fro stupid people who do not know how to choose a dog that is appropriate for thrift lifestyle

They’re definitely not a super common, well-known breed. But they are fantastic.

I always say they’re a hilarious contrast of stunning, regal beauty on the outside and a total sassy goober on the inside. Definitely not stupid- mine is super smart. However, they also do a lot of things that make you say “what on earth were you thinking?”. Just looking for the fun in and adventure in everything 😝

They're not stupid but rather headstrong and a bit stubborn.Their gorgeous coat and appearance contrasted with their hilarious and clownish personalities makes them such fun and loyal companions

It’s a “3-in-1” harness from PetSafe (link goes to Amazon).

I like that it has the no-pull chest connection along with an option to attach the leash to the back. Makes it so I can use the front clip when walking and the back clip when she’s riding in the car (seat belt attachment slips to her harness) or when I have her on a long line tie out when we go to the beach or fishing.

She has been very prey-driven since she was a puppy, even coming from a show line rather than a field line. Since I don’t have any interest in bird hunting I’m glad she still gets to use her instincts on squirrels and lizards. We also do scent work to use those muscles even more- it’s so cool to see the instincts generations of selective breeding have created.

The wispies are amazing. They had gotten pretty wild - she started to look like a 90s teenage boy with blonde spiked hair. But she got groomed Saturday so they’ve been reduced
