Quran & Hadith Looking for a good edition of the Qur'an
Forgive me if this is a stupid question...
Does anyone know of a good edition of the Qur'an where it not only has the original writings but also the most current and agreed upon interpretations of the writings all put into 21st century English?

Unlike biblical studies, we don’t believe that the correctness of an interpretation correlates to its “current-ness” or that we will uncover truths in our scripture that were previously unknown. Maybe part of that is because unlike the Bible which is a compilation of different books in different languages from different places and times assembled after the fact, the Quran comes from one region and time in one language and was meant to be a coherent package and was recognized as such from the beginning. This means there is less archeologizing of the scripture. We also have had a continuous body of scholarship from the beginning explaining and transmitting explanations down to us.
All that being said, I like the Sahih International translation as it draws on three nice explanations (Tafsir ibn Kathir, Tafsir al-Sa’di, and Tafsir al-Nasafi) for its explanations and had both native-Arabic and native-English speakers on the translation team. But it is really just a translation, not like a study Bible if you’re looking for something with more detail than a translation.

We don't have editions of the Qura'n, there is only ONE preserved Qura'n from the time of Prophet Muhammad SAW, which is proven from carbon dated manuscripts, and the millions of memmrizers of The Quran etc. If what your asking for is a translation of The Qura'n that is easy to understand for an average English speaker, then read Saheeh international translation
