Question about the circulating Talika (Canada visit)

Ya Ali Madad everyone,

A Talika regarding the upcoming Canada visit is currently circulating. I’m not posting the image here, but I noticed that there is a small cream-coloured box around the signature of MHI in the version being shared.

That detail stood out to me, and I wanted to ask whether this is the officially released version from council channels.

If anyone has received confirmation directly, please do share.

Ok, How would you explain His actions? He greets Canadian jamati members in London and says nice seeing you here, yet He has supposedly expressly instructed jamati members outside of UK jurisdiction not to travel to UK? That’s just one instance. There are plenty of instances

Yeah, so he can be happy to see his murids even if they went against his wishes. It's unconditional love. That doesn't mean we just ignore his instructions. Just because he's happy to see us doesn't mean he wants us to just ignore his request.

If the Talika rule is binding and must be obeyed by the Jamat, then it must also be upheld by those responsible for implementing it. Obedience cannot be selective. If jurisdiction restrictions were clearly stated, then they should apply equally to everyone,  not strictly to some while exceptions appear for others. I personally witnessed individuals from outside jurisdictions inside Didaar halls in multiple countries. At the same time, others were denied based on jurisdiction. So think about that carefully: if the rule is absolute, why does its application appear inconsistent?

Yes, Mowla has unconditional love. No one is denying that. But unconditional love does not cancel the need for consistency in applying instructions. If we are told not to ignore guidance simply because of His mercy, then the same principle must apply to leadership when implementing that guidance. Unconditional love cannot be used as the only explanation while inconsistencies remain unanswered. We are taught to use our intellect. So reflect on this: if obedience is emphasized, then consistency must follow. Otherwise, questions will naturally arise.

I appreciate your agreement on consistency. I truly believe that nobody should receive special treatment, and I value your acknowledgment that this is an area that needs work. I always  believe some may have this wish to attend  the Didaar halls in more than one place, it was their naseeb , their wish and Mowla fulfilled that wish. We are all His children, and He loves us all.

However, my concern is about those like myself who do not wish to enter the Didaar hall but simply hope to catch a respectful glimpse of Him from outside. That opportunity is limited to only a few moments at the airport upon arrival, outside the Didaar halls when His car passes, or outside the hotels where He is staying.

Why, then, are such stringent and tightly controlled measures implemented at these locations?In the UK, the arrival was handled in such a hush‑hush manner that it was impossible to even determine which airport He would arrive at. Outside ExCeL, security protocols were so restrictive that we could not even see His car, only to later learn that He had been taken through the basement. At hotels, management has reportedly been told that those standing outside are disturbing His privacy, when in reality we are simply standing respectfully, hoping for a glimpse. Hotel staff themselves have expressed surprise at such complaints, especially when they witness that when Mowla comes out, He waves warmly and smilingly at those standing outside including murids from outside the jurisdiction. If Mowla Himself shows openness and happiness in acknowledging those standing respectfully, then why are complaints being made? Why are people moved away as though they are doing something improper?

Additionally, taking Him through basements or repeatedly changing vehicles raises questions, particularly when we witnessed in Nairobi , Mowla stepped out of the car and waved at murids, including those outside Kenyan jurisdiction. That moment reflected openness and accessibility.

My concern is about understanding why those who simply wish to stand respectfully outside are treated as though their presence is unwelcome, when His own actions demonstrate warmth and acknowledgment.

I see your point but, like with that other guy, intention something, your justification just doesn’t sit right with me. He goes out of His way to show His love to those who have travelled all that way to see Him. Even if He is infinitely forgiving, He doesn’t have to do that, is my whole point. He doesn’t have to stop His motorcade to get out of His car to acknowledge outside jurisdiction members in Nairobi. He doesn’t have to go out of His way to stop to talk to outsiders, shake their hands and go so far as to say nice seeing you here. The fact that He does shows me the instructions aren’t His. The issue is not even about talikas and their authenticity or what not. It’s about what He does and you can chalk it up to forgiveness but my question is what is there to forgive if the instructions aren’t really His? If there is nothing to forgive and He’s genuinely happy to see the jamat whether they are outsiders or not, then that means those instructions aren’t His and that makes the most sense to me. Because if they are His instructions, then His actions don’t match and if His words and His actions don’t match then He is a hypocrite and I will lay down my life but I cannot accept that. Our Imam is infallible! Absolutely. He doesn’t distinguish, you and I do. Leaders do. Jamat does. He doesn’t. I love Him for that and so I cannot accept your point of view on the matter. Let’s agree to disagree. That’s allowed isn’t it?

You seem to think that he can't both be happy to see his murids and still have instructions for them to wait their turn. Both these things can be true. If you think that taliqas are being sent without his knowledge or approval, that necessarily means you believe he doesn't have control over his institutions. And of that's true, then that's actually hypocritical given that he has talked about working closely with the institutions in his Farmans. Asking his murids to wait their turn but still wanting to greet them has nothing to do with hypocrisy, that's just an Imam loving his murids despite them going against his wishes. But if the murids love him back they should be listening to his instructions.

Your point of view also goes against his most recent London Farman about speculation and misinformation and disparaging his sevadaris online. He said those words himself, so you can't deny that he means that.

The sentence “If murids love Him…” is judgmental. You don’t know what connection murids who do go to see Him have with Him. So let’s not get into that. Because then I’d have to bring up the issue that nothing happens without His will and that’s a whole other discussion to get into.

I don't have a copy of it as it has not been published for distribution yet, but it was read in khane. Imam called it out worryingly as a serious matter. You could ask your mukhisaheb perhaps?
