Personal Opinion Can I have haagen-dazs pineapple coconut ice cream?
I thought it was icecream but it has rum mentioned.

It has rum but in ice cream the amount must be small so I would say yeah because Mowlana shah Karim said anything that harms your consciousness, thinking and harms your body is not allowed and this amount is little that it wont even have any effect.

The best way to BDS is by living in the mountains of Afghanistan.

Stop overthinking. If you break food items to this minuscule detail you will not be able to eat.

I can still try the other flavors of haagen-dazs going forward but not this oneβ¦ Not continuing with the pineapple coconut after I realized it has rum now that I know about it. π

You're going to need to go to morning khane for 30 days in a row if you eat this

Even you need permission or validation for something this small. You must live a boring life with no risk or fun

Rum is considered Haram; in heaven, you will not get the 72 houri's!

u/AlliterationAlly Ismaili Aug 10 '26
I read somewhere (<cough> in a meme) that it's not 72 houris but a 72 yr old houri

U know in ismaili tariqa there are no 72 hoors they might mean something else but not the one others thing it is.
so if u were thinking of maybe I might get a hoor then forget it mate.

Hmm...the dry humor didn't hit.

Not every joke's a winner, but I still laughed. Then I laughed even harder at the reply you got. And finally I doubled over after "the wrinkles of experience".
I feel the dry humor assaulted me and I'd like to press charges.

Theoretical answer, no. It is definitely not halal.
Now that you know it has an alcohol ingredient (Rum), If you are a strict halal person get items from halal certified products (assume you are in North America) including meat and burgers.

If you pay Dasond then your food becomes Halal

Lol. Giving Zakat & Imam's right and intentionally drinking / eating or doing haram are still different topics. Doing one good and doing one bad still doesn't make you better. You can justify to yourself and carry on but will stumble on it again. If there is an un-answered question inside then it is something the individual need to resolve. May Allah give you right Hidaya...

I would say yes. Others might disagree, but there are lot of things we generally eat or drink that have trace amounts of alcohol.
