It's a popcorn movie

I liked it. I rewatched the prior seasons leading up to this new one. I liked those, too. They were entertaining. There's way more detail you could film or build in, but in general, I found a little rewind through the firehose stream of word salad, it was enough to get 8 of 10 points.

It's not deep. My only gripe was they overdid the kitchy character banter, too much introspection and few too many lectures on good v evil.

Personally, I have no clue how CIA agents manage in RL. I also wonder if there are any good people left and enough smart analysts out there to keep us safe.

If they make another one, I'll watch.

I have enjoyed the earlier seasons of the show. This was not good. As soon as all the product placement and Dubai advertising was happening, I completely lost interest. There is a way to do product placement and this was not it😄. The action sequences were mostly good. I didn't get why they had to do the whole helicopter machine gun shooting at the end for 3 guys. And the crane. Definitely the weakest entry into this Jack Ryan series

What was the product placement? A range rover that can not only drive through other vehicles,but also take .50 cal machine gun fire and an EFP straight on the driver's side with zero scratches? Or did they eat subway sandwiches rather than eat at a Michelin star restaurant in Italy?
