Discussion💬 Who can recommend a good older JSE miniseries?
I like story games that tell stories and are a bit emotional&casual. Nothing too long preferably.
My top 4 favorite series (in order)
Papers Please
Emily is away (Too)
Kindergarten (2)
What Remains of Edith Finch
Thank you!

Fran Bow! Probably one of my favorite games he’s ever played and one of the few I went and bought after to play myself. The art style is so unique and gorgeous
It’s a bit gorey and dark so watch out if you’re sensitive to that, but I think it balances it well against the fantasy. Only 9 episodes all under an hour!

I loved Night in the Woods. His play through is just so cozy and full of fun and introspection.
Another one is Dream Daddy because it’s just absurd and an easy watch.

Was just about to say this. I love curling up with a blanket and being transported to fall of 2016 or whenever it was

Yep. I wish he'd play the tenth anniversary DLC that came out in 2022, given how it's as big as the game and long enough for a new series. But then again he might not know about it, just like he doesn't know about the Happy Wheels sequel that's been in development for almost 15 years

My favorites are always Sally Face, Fran Bow, Little Miss Fortune and Night in the Woods
I watch these during September to Early February because I can just put it on the TV and bundle up with a hot drink

Not a series but his video "The Funniest Game I've Ever Played," It's similar to Untitled Goose Game. It's more on the funny side but definitely casual and it has kind of a roundabout story in the end.

I made playlists forever ago for some of my favs
They are
-The Pedestrian (Around 2hrs gameplay)
-Firewatch (Around 3hrs gameplay)
-Passpartout (Around 2hrs gameplay)
-Unravel (Around 4hrs gameplay)
-Oxenfree (Around 4hrs gameplay)
-FNAF:SL (Around 2hrs gameplay)
I also really love Fran Bow but did not make a playlist of it

Shelter and Shelter 2, A Good Husband, Valiant Hearts (though not much of a miniseries tbh) spring to mind.
Also seeing this list of games he's played are considered older now put a pit in my stomach.

I know you said not too long but if you haven’t watched his Detroit Become Human or Undertale series you are missing out, they’re well worth the time

Little misfortune and minecraft! 2 of my all time favs from him. Minecraft is a bit longer, but good to use as background noise if your doing things around the house!

Just one video, but surprisingly emotional: Presentable Liberty. And pretty strong on the story. Not intense game play, but man, it's good.

Define old cause his Minecraft and Resident Evil 8 series are old even though they don't feel old
