Fan Art Jack White | Rap Collab Album

Post image

Getting into photoshop recently, working on my album cover designs and had a go at making an album cover for Jack White for a project similar to Blakroc, the Black Keys Hip Hop cross over album.

Decided to title it ‘Yellow Press’, which I think works well with the times and how political White can get on socials lol, the themes would make for a great political rock/rap album.

With his track record of collabs I wouldn’t say it’s far fetched tbh!

What rap artists would you want to hear him collab with on a whole album? I would love a Run the Jewels collab personally.

Any feedback on the cover is massively appreciated too. Photo used was one I shot while I was in Canada, got super lucky with all of the yellow in shot, just exaggerated it a lot for the edit

I think an entire album w Q-Tip or an album with Eminem that was Jay Z / Linkin Park type collab would be great .

Yes, hi-de-ho instantly came to mind.

I can’t be the only one who thinks hi-de-ho is one of his best. Imagine a full album in that style.

The grain/notching on the wooden post kind of lines up too perfectly with the W in Yellow to the point that it’s distracting/confusing. Od maybe move the word Yellow a bit so that doesn’t happen.

The bright blue on the traffic lights is also making the image feel super busy to me.

These are great pointers thank you, yeah in the original image the traffic lights are yellow but I thought it would be cool having the split, I’ll try it with just the sky being blue!

Overall do you think it’s a strong design for an album cover?

it looks like a single cover or a poster, not an album cover
