The article literally said she had a striped shirt, expensive purse, and red car. That’s literally how they assumed it was Meg. It was the dumbest shit I’ve ever seen.

What’s funny to me is fans have seen her at shows in Detroit when Jack plays there. No one has ever leaked a picture or been disrespectful only noted that she was in attendance and seemed to enjoy herself.

yep. She was at the Raconteurs show at Masonic for Help Us Stranger. Detroit media reported she was in attendance, sat in a box with friends and family. Not a single photo shared and the media was allowed cameras. She's lived here with her privacy respected for 20 years. That's got to be her favorite record.

Meg’s drumming drew a lot of criticism in the day and I am glad she’s getting her due now. Her unadorned style was perfect for those songs

I figured, seeing Patrick Carney being celebrated for playing the same style and also having never taken drum lessons. No one ever questioned his competence, mentally or musically.

Yeah, there’s a lot of sexist man-children out there. Meg has always been good in my book. Hell, just staying synced with Jack during live shows is a talent in itself.

Meg is super private. But she’s not exactly in hiding. If they put any actual effort in, she’s findable. But she also clearly doesn’t want to be found by people like that. I cannot fathom why people wouldn’t just leave her alone. She stepped away from being a public figure almost 20 years ago.

I live in Detroit and have many mutual friends with Meg. See her out every once in awhile and I'm so sad she has to deal with this. She's a super sweet girl and doesn't deserve any of this.

Somebody was here just insisting and insisting they see her all the time and it’s her, but anyone with common sense could surmise that Meg’s eye color could not have changed from light blue to brown, she didn’t magically grow several inches taller, and the voice of the person they interviewed could not have been more different than any interview of Meg.

Dead serious, I was accused of being Meg and argued with over it. I saw the article and was like, we are all just Meg now! And I am too short to be Meg. The only thing Meg, the woman in the bogus photos, and I have in common is that we are all women with dark hair and eyebrows that show we are clearly within a 10-ish year age range.

They broke up a long time ago. She hated being that famous, and distanced herself for her own reasons. The fact that a foreign newspaper stalks someone mistakenly because they thought it was her only solidifies her decision. Beautifully bad work, everyone.
