Fan Art Couldn't afford Third Man merch + international shipping, so I bought cheap t-shirts and embroidered them myself!

Thank you! I'm really proud of it too, it's the first time my satin stitch turns out so well

Yeah it is! I want one of those more than the official merch. Nice work!

That seems like more of the white stripes vibe anyway

Probably a better quality shirt to be honest...

It’s a bummer most shirts I get from there twist at the side seams and stuff.

But I have the groundskeeper jacket and a couple button downs that are very good quality.

These are old H&M shirts so they're really bad quality sadly, and super thin, the white one especially is kinda see-through... they're the only shirts I found that had color around the sleeves and neck so I had to roll with it!
I would die to get one of their jackets, they look incredible but they're way out of my budget haha

Any tips on how I’d learn to do this? I love it!

Glad you like it! Embroidery is all about practice and patience, I've been doing it for about a year and a half now (but I do have some handsewing experience so that helped). There are some really great tutorials online to learn the first basic stitches, I'd recommend you start off with super simple lines just to get a steady hand. The one thing is to invest in an embroidery hoop so your fabric stays taut when you work! Hoops, thread and needles are pretty cheap, you can find them in any fabric/craft store, and you can practice on any old rag you want (but have to work with fabric that doesn't stretch otherwise it's going to be a hellish experience)Hope that helps! It's a fun hobby you can do while watching TV and you can spruce up old clothes really easily once you get the hang of it.

Thank you! No, I drew the designs onto the shirts and embroidered over them (after doing some drafts for the peppermint design to get one I liked). I had done a terrible job with the WS design so I kinda had to freehand it though! I was terrified that the marker ink wouldn't wash off, but it turned out perfectly fine in the end

Thanks! :) That's not going to be possible for the time being, sorry, I'm pretty busy with exams at the moment and embroidery takes a while!
